That is a HUGE mother fucker spotting you lol how do you like the gangsta’ wraps
Curt Dennis Jr 306lbs at 6ft tall with abs and 22in cold arms lol.
Love them
Fuck Reed, it almost seems like you train heavy all the time, but I know that can’t be, in order to get that strong, you must be cycling your training intensity, and taking regular deloads. ![]()
Also
I hit a PR today as well, front squat 275 for 2 1/2 before I had to throw the bar off to the ground,( video on my log ) really thought I had 3 in me, but probably should have racked it after 2, oh well if you don’t try you’ll never know. Oh fuck, I’m a rule breaker too, I forgot missing reps, is another sure way to stay weak. Anyway I got 5 last week to a high box, but really thought I could get the triple today without the box. Considering less than 3 weeks ago I tried my first heavy front squat, and fought like hell for 225x5, I’m actually pretty happy about the 275x2, it felt strong, and I’d already done a shit ton of volume, so all and all, good day. later

Lol yeah Anytime I base all my deloads off the projector of the sun and moon. Lol but in all honesty best way to move heavy weights is to feel heavy weights. This is doubly true for my Bench. It is horrible as you know but since Ai have been using 90% in almost every session it has taken way the hell off. Its finally moving. A very long way to go but its going.
Saturday- Heavy Full Range Movements. Working between 80-95% for various rep ranges. Then I usually use a Sling Shot or Reverse Bands to really overload.
Tuesday- Heavy Partial Moves. Take 90-110% and use boards here from right at lock out to just below my sticking point and hammer the fuck out of it.
Nice, we need to start one of those how do you train threads for you Reed,
I know I sounded like a smart ass, in my post last night, just pissed the weights aren’t moving lately, I missed a rep yesterday, and the fact that I can’t run anything until atleat the end of April because of my legal situation. It happens to everyone ( except Reed it seems ) the weights seem to be stuck, oh well my front squats moving, there is that I guess. Thanks Reed later

Trust me it happens to us all and our brothers. I’m nothing special just cram food and weights for as long as I can once I feel I’m just ran down take a few speed sessions and revamp. I really think alot of your problem right now is you just need some more confidence which is where some reverse band type of work I think will really help you

OMG you shouldn’t train that way. My trainer at planet fitness said it’s bad for your joints.
Bench 185x12,10,9 all PR sets.
Haha, thats the first time in my life someone said I wasn’t confident enough, LOL, It might be that, but more it’s just I came back from an injury, and a long lay off, and the first couple hundred pounds or so came pretty fast, then everything slowed, and in my mind I thought I’d get a little more distance from my muscle memory, or whatever you want to call it, before I ran out of steam. I did go over 10yrs since I was pushing myself this way with heavy weights, and I am still working around alot of old injuries, so I think I set too high of expectations coming back.
This coupled with the fact of house arrest ( gets to ya ) and having to go out to a freezing cold garage every day to work out, and get fired up to train by myself. I’m just at that place where the weights have slowed down, and I lost a bit of drive. I’d like to throw some juice in the mix, but it’s not fair to my wife, until I’m off this house arrest, and bringing some income in
shoe’s and food for the kid come first I guess.
Anyway I’v been around long enough to know, these moods pass, just keep pluggin away. My bench is moving, and my new front squat has alot of room to grow, so keep hitting that, and the drive to atack the weights always comes back. I just hate the slow times, where progress is slow, and it feels like your going through the motions rather than gaining. Everybody’s been there, and sticking it out seperates the men from the boy’s
Thanks for the suport buddy, PR’s for all !
didnt mean to sound like that. I am not saying you do not have confidence in your self in general. I meant because of the injury in the back of your head you may be doubting yourself and are asking what your capable of. I think you jut need to see yor self do some awesome looking stuff and know that you are a monster and believe it.
Got cha, Thanks, It’s a fire inside to push like a motherfucker, it’s just been sputtering lately, but it always comes back, you’ll see ![]()

I can certainly respect that. Is TRT (assuming you’re not already on it) an option?
My PRs:
Bench: 100kg x 6
Skullcrushers: 110lbs x 7
Left arm: 16.75" (cold, flexed). People have been commenting all over the place about how my arms have exploded in size since the start of the year (were a little under 16"). Now that I’m getting so close to my longtime goal of 17" guns, I have come to realize that 17" is nowhere near big enough for me. I can see how this is addictive stuff…

Hahaha man I dont know if any one would benefit from it but I would gladly give any help or advice I can if you and enough people feel it is warranted.
There ya go buddy, started a thread ‘’ HOW REED TRAINS ‘’ now you have some place to let us all in on you ''secrets") Later
Pin Squat PRs: 375 @ Pin 7 (45lb PR); 475 @ Pin 8 (30lb PR). I feel like I broke my back. Just short of 3.2xBW.
And I found that focusing on hip extension … basically “bring hips up and forward”… works best for me on the heavier sets as far as form cues. When I thought about pressing the floor, my back would start to round, but thinking about hip extension everything stays stable.
Floor press 240x6
OHP 160x4…PR but still not happy about this
Volume PR (I think) OHP 105 for 5x4, superset with pull ups, 1 minute rest between sets.
Squat 315x8
Nice, I saw your name in the PRs thread, and was worried you hit that 275x5 front squat, but 315x8, nice work !

Can I ask what you did to cause the increase?
