Nice squats @Reed…I enjoy watching your video clips and reading your post in general…

Apologize for my side spotter being a little in the way… 300lbs for 2 with one left in the tank…303 at a meet in November was my previous max.

Thanks  I try to keep things interesting. Awesome Squat by the way. What weight class are you competing you look like you have be getting very close to totaling elite any day now.

Good night in the gym tonight.

8x60kg OHP (3 rep PR)
5x95kg FS (1 rep PR)

And then I got 42 pull-ups in 5 sets (10,8,7,9,8) for a volume PR. I switch to chins for the last two sets. 5x10 pull-ups has been a goal for close to a year and I’m finally getting there

Squat 275 for two triples, easy. It’s fucking coming…

Agreed :open_mouth:

Front squat 155 for 3x8. Again, default PR. I think I like this movement…

Here’s my front squat to a high box, big PR for me with 275x5x5, only video’s first set. Now over the next few weeks I have to remove first one 2 inch stack of flooring, then the following week the other stack, then hopefully with alot of hard work, be doing these free squat style in 4 weeks. ‘‘In a perfect world’’

I can’t get vid to play here for some reason, but it showed up in my log, fucking hate computer’s, it’s in my log if you don’t belive me, stupid fucking computer

@chhobbs @Apoklyps Thanks a bunch!!

@Reed…thanks!!! I totalled 892.9 my last meet in November. I plan to reach low/mid 900s for my meet in March. I compete in 181lbs class.

Push pressed 77.5kg for a triple, then BTN power jerked 85kg for a triple.

Hell already totaled elite awesome work.

Another volume PR for pull-ups tonight. 131 reps in total, 3 pyramids 1-6-1, then 1-5-1.

Starting to see that the secret to pull-ups is training them three times a week

I’m not saying that this will happen to you, but I did pullups 3 times a week for about 1 and half months, switched grips and everything and tendons in my bicep/elbow hurt like a mother. Hope it works for you, I could definitely tell a difference in my back.

What sort of volume were you doing?

So far so good for me: apart from a couple of weeks around Christmas where I only trained a couple of times, I’ve been training them 2-3 times per week for a few months. Just had a look back through my log and the volume has more than doubled since September last year, so it was pretty low to start with (i.e. max reps of 5 when fresh, pyraminds 1-3-1).

At the moment my 3 sessions look like this:

Monday: 5xAMRAP super-setted with dips after 5/3/1 OHP. I rest 90s - 2 min between each set so plenty of rest.

Wednesday: 4xPyramids, wide and narrow grip pull-ups and chins

Saturday: 20 min EDT with weighted dips & pull-ups, on the minute every other minute.

My lats look a bit bigger from the front, but I can’t really see that much of a difference in photos of my back. I’m pretty hairy so gains may just be hidden under my pelt.

Since Christmas though I’ve been feeling much stronger at the bar throughout the whole range of motion.

@Diddy ryder 3-5 reps between every set just depending on how I felt for the day, so around 50-70

This is a PR in some sense. I was able to repeat my 245x2 PR from Monday. Wasn’t quite able to get the 255 x 1.

600 for 1 off of a 2in Block. Have pulled this before but, from a 5" block.

Bench 215x3, 2 sets. 135x27, just kinda curious haha

Incline bench: 225 x 3, 185 x 8

I think I’ll be ok. I built up pretty slowly, only adding reps or another level to the pyramid when it became easy to get all of my previous “PB” sets.

For a few months last year I did have some nagging pain around the elbow, but it’s gone now.

Squatted 142.5kg x 9 - previous best was 145kg for 7, so a small PR there.
Then got 160kg for a 10kg PR triple and 112.5kg for a 2.5 kg PR triple front squat.

Parallel squats, then half squats from pins, then quarter squats from pins until I ran out of plates at 437.

Honestly never expected that to happen. But now I know what that feels like on my back.
