About 4 years ago I suffered a rotator cuff impingement in my right shoulder. I still experience varying degrees of pain when I bench press, jog, and perform shoulder exercises. I haven’t weight lifted in years and my posture sucks so I’d appreciate advice on how I should approach a new program with my injury.
My current plan is to start Starting Strength and on off-days do some shoulder/rotator cuff exercises (I read a good Cressey article on them). The pain sucks but I don’t think it’s a major injury and is certainly bearable to lift with. I’d just like to be sure I’m not making a mistake, thanks.

Go get the injury checked out from an ortho. They should be able to provide better details. In the meantime, work on your posture, don’t just complain about it.
Lay off Starting Strength until you get it checked out.
