picking an E argument over this lame video? lolz. If your goal is a back like that guy then maybe not be in the bodybuilding forum.

Okay let me see: I want to build muscle and get bigger while not being fat. Yes I should be in the bodybuilding forum but thanks for the tip.
Weather I want to build a back like his should not matter because everyone’s goals are different(again I’m not saying I want a back like his maybe I do maybe I dont the only thing that should matter is that I want to build muscle). I’m not coming into the bodybuilding forum to preach full body workouts or to say 5 way splits don’t work. I simply asked for people to comment on the way that guy was performing BB rows.
Be careful about the questions you ask around here. Some guys have nothing better to do than wait around drooling just looking to criticize people for who ask general questions (some of these guys won’t even post any pics). Look around it’s the same guys. That being said, listen to guys like 8packguy who will simply give advice. Let’s see that guy use weight heavy enough to actually stimulate growth and keep that form without hurting himself.

theres probably a reason why you (or I) have never seen them this way. Because its not the optimal way to do BB rows.

.greg.

i’ve seen this guys videos a few times before, never really followed any of the workouts tho (i could never trust a man wearing that hat)

what are your thoughts on this guy and his instructional vids? one of my mates uses them as some sort of bible on how to train and what form to use

Then you shouldn’t perform it as shown in the video. It isn’t that hard to grasp the concept of performing a good barbell row with more weight.
You’re genius.

P.S: I never said I was going to perform it like that. If you read the BIG tittle right on top of the first OP it says “Never Seen BB Rows Done This Way”. How does that translate to “I’m going to do barbell rows just like this guy”. I was just curious as to what people thought about it since I’ve never seen it being performed like that.
If you want to get big, my advice is you shouldn’t do it that way and simply stated it that way. I wasn’t implying that you were going to… The translation there of comes forth of your own perception.

Curiousness is a good motivator, but knowing to trust a source comes with more knowledge and experience.

@6:40… - YouTube  Done the way scooby or whatever the hell his name is, well not efficient enough if you ask me.

That might be true but it doesn’t hurt to ask for opinions.

I just don’t understand why they need to leave dumb negative comments. If they think the question is stupid or if they don’t know the answer then there in no requirement to post. Another thing is some guys will give advice combined with insults. WTF?? lol.

Anyways I agree with you about his form.

LOL. Whatever you say buddy.

OP, this is fucking retarded.

If you are on a “BODYBUILDING” forum asking how to not get “too big”, you are a damn idiot. This guy has a little back. I, and many others here on T-Nation, have a bigger, stronger back. If you think there is ANY logic to be found in listening to his advice over ours. you are beyond hope, and might as well stop wasting bandwidth now.

Call me rude, call me “mean”, get butthurt, I don’t give a shit. If you can’t take a little honesty, you should crawl back up your mama’s vagina, it’s probably better suited for you anyways in that case.

I never said I didn’t want to get “too big”. I asked what people though of the video. I know some people have a bigger back on here which is why I wanted to post the video so the bigger people on here could comment. Again when did I say I was going to listen to that guy over people on here? I just posted a video dammit.

I won’t call you rude or mean and why in the world would I get buttnurt over some random guy calling me names over the intewebzz lol. If anything you seemed to be the one who’s taking this thread a bit too personal and serious. Have a good one bud. Thanks for playing.

IMHO-You want a big “Insert muscle,” you train “Insert Muscle” like Insert Professional Bodybuilder does. as simple as that. You need a fat back like Mr. Intensity, Dorian? You train back like Dorian. You need soda can abs? You follow Nasser’s ab routine. The Gilligan wannabe in Op has no credit to anything in my eyes. I looked at the video, looked at a related video, and saw that he was claiming Muscle gain and fat loss through such meals as Peas and salsa. Bam. No thanks Scooby.

This is just a REALLY shit, slow variation of a pendlay row. Avoid at all costs imo.

The only big guy Ive seen doing anything that resembles that is Arnold. Id find a video but Im at work
