Wow seeing other peoples results inspire me to keep on keeping on. You can really see the difference with the updated pictures. Even your posture in your back shot looks much better. G.J. broski!
To sum things up:
I started the diet at ~228 and I now weigh 209! That’s 19 lbs in 28 days.
I am happy with my progress but I know I have a long way to go.
I’m wearing clothes that were to small before and a belt is a must with most of my pants.
To clarify I am not doing the Anabolic Diet. I will add one clean carb up meal if I can’t function properly after at least 2 weeks of keto dieting.
If anyone is interested here is my diet for today:
Flameout 4 caps
Natural Peanut Butter 2 tblespoon
Coconut Oil 1 tablespoon
Omega 3 Eggs 3
Health From The Sea PFO Pure Fish Oil 1tablespoon
Chicken Breast per oz 6
Metabolic Drive 6 scoops
Flax Meal 2 tablespoon
Spinach per cup 2
I will post later what I am doing tomorrow because the calories will be the same but my other sups came in so I will be changing things up a little.

Eating is a privilege, enjoy it. I want some eggs now so bad…

So true. When I was making the eggs I was getting excited to be eating them.
I could’ve had another shake but it was nice to eat.
I am still having 3 shakes a day for right now.
The V-Diet is just the beginning tool to life long changes.

This was for sure a big hidden cost in the Velocity Diet for me. Going from having to buy belts to buy all new pants, they don’t tell you about those costs at the start =].

Especially the back.
Thanks it really does help when I hear/read it.
I can’t believe you had drumsticks in your freezer the whole time, either–that’s BANANAS!
How does it feel?
I feel great! I’m still tired but I feel like I am in shape enough for clothes. Now I just need to be in shape enough for nekid!
You feel regular in your body now but remember how you felt all hungover and bloated back when you started and notice how you feel different now.
I def remember the fat me. Never want to feel that way again.
Gosh, are you going to keep this thread going for your transition?
What ARE your transition plans, anyway?
Yup I plan on keeping this thread up.
Plan on trying a ketogenic diet like the one Thib is doing. I am going to start at ~1800 cal per day for 3 days and then 2100 for 3 days and finally 2500 for 3 days and reassess. If I feel good on the keto diet I will keep on it and adjust my cal accordingly.
If I feel like shit I will give it at least 12 days and then have one carb up meal. Then go right back to low carb. So if I can I will stay low carb but if I feel like tired all the time I will do a variation of the Anabolic diet and what Thib is doing in his get ripped thread. We’ll see
I’m doing less than 30 of carb
51% pro
44$ fat
5% carb
This will vary a little as I bring the calories up.
thanks again for the compliment
bill
p.s. I’m going to the kitchen and throw the ice cream away right now!

Thibaudeau is really good but remember that he has an eating disorder-level anxiety about carbs. I know someone with the same problem and I felt sad reading Coach Thibaudeau’s mention of that same struggle.
Before embracing a ketogenic diet, I suggest checking out Anthony Colpo’s site and reading some of his articles about of the cons of ketogenic dieting. Mostly, it’s difficult to maintain and build muscle.
Using pwo carbs will enable you to do plenty of HIIT and staying just over 50 gr carbs could help you with cravings and be far more livable than a keto diet–unless you’re that anxious about bingeing. And if you are, you will be struggling anyway going keto and then cycling.
So yeah, Anthony Colpo’s site is:
I put his advice to use with my coach, who’s been keto-dieting for 15 years and suffered slow recovery and catabolism problems.
He’s finally put on some more muscle instead of always struggling to maintain and looking depleted. Does all the HIIT he wants, now, too.
These were the exact issues Anthony discussed re: keto diets and athletes and they were resolved. Except while my coach will gladly take pwo carbs, after seeing how they transformed his workouts, he diet is otherwise keto because of his carb anxiety.
Coach Thibaudeau won’t even take pwo carbs.

That’s funny! I’ve been craving eggs, too. Specifically a whole egg-and-egg-white omelette and hard-boiled eggs. Maybe my HSM should be breakfast this week? I don’t even eat egg white omelettes but for some reason it sounds really good.
and beef jerky.

So how was it? The coconut oil is good stuff, huh? What was it like to actually eat?
What supps did you get?
Tell me about that sleep stack–I was gonna order it, too.
The coconut oil was good. It becomes a liquid so I wasn’t sure how to eat it all. I know some of it will stay with the chicken but there was a lot left in the pan. Not sure what to do about that.
The sleep stack is: ZMA 1 serving, GABA 5g, Glycine 10g, 5-HTP 200mg, inositol 500mg.
After having it I felt strange, kinda like I had to concentrate on breathing?? It passed quickly and I went to bed. I didn’t relax that much because I was nervous about the effects.
The only other supp I relieved was primrose oil. I will post today??s diet in a little bit.
I don’t plan on staying on a keto diet for ever. I think it will be the quickest way to getting under 10% bf. I will then see how things are progressing. I will definitely eat carbs on a mass phase. I’m thinking keto for cutting, morning and pwo carbs for maintenance and carbs throughout the day or carb cycling for gaining size.
I am definitely not afraid to eat I just want to take advantage of the drive I have right now to get as lean as possible. I am going to get my bf checked Friday and I will monitor this to make sure I am not losing muscle. This will tell me if I need to take carbs or not.
phew, long one Now I’m going to read that info thanks
And it feels GREAT to be eating again.

Ok I’m tired. I’m tired of being tired! My workouts suck! I don’t get pumps anymore.
This is as close as I’ve come to eating again.
I am not going to just chow calories…but I’m frustrated!
I’m adding calories Sat so we’ll see if I feel better.
I don’t want to add to many calories to quick.
UUUURRRRRRGGGG!!!
Ok just ate the last meal of the day chicken breast with coconut oil. I added maybe a teaspoon of mayo and I feel better now. I just hope I can sleep…

dude you pour it over the chicken then lick it off the plate and suck it off your fingers and out of the pan, if necessary. What a question!

the deal with that sleep stack is it’s very high in amines.
Some, like GABA, turn to glutamate in the brain, then back to something else i can’t recall again, so GABA can be ok but you need to be careful if you are amine sensitive. Amines are potent food chemicals and some people react to them.
.
what are you expecting from the epo? I keep forgetting why people take it.
Are you using pwo carbs?

How are you checking the body fat?

I am taking it because I want to follow CT’s diet. when I follow someone else’s plan I like to follow it to a “T”. After following it I make the changes I want. It’s kinda like baking a cake. Use the ingredients from the recipie and then make the changes you want.
No. I am trying a Keto diet so no go on pwo carbs.
I was pinched today. (calipers)
I’m kinda pissed. I’ve lost almost 10lbs of lean body mass in the last year. Now I expected I lost SOME mass because of a shoulder injury I haven’t been able to go heavy and well I slacked a bit because of it.
I have %19 bf. Really makes me mad to say it. I want to up my calories an go on a mass phase and go heavy NOW. If I do I know I will gain size quickly.
Ok I’m not going to. I’m going to get single digit bf and then I will gain my size back.
oh yeah the reason I want to give the keto diet a shot is because I’ve had good luck on low carb diets in the past. Now when I did follow this type of diet I would lose a lot of fat but also muscle.
So I want to give this a try to see how it works when taking in the extra good fats.
I’m going to monitor my bf closely and if things don’t go well I’m going to make adjustments i.e. increase carbs for breakfast and pwo.

One more… I know CT is good at what he does but I do not feel the need to do EVERYTHING he does. I want to reiterate when I try someone else’s theories I like to follow them as closely as possible to objectively assess the results and learn how my body reacts to well, learn more about my body.

Sure, that’s how you learn. How you get enough experience to make your own intelligent decisions. How you become sel-reliant.
Of course, losing that kind of muscle is a pricey lesson.
You did all the math, huh? Were able to figure out the lbm loss? You must be feeling some disappointment. You’ll work it out, though. You’re applying yourself and your determination is…palpable!
I hope you had a good day and a good dinner and don’t let the frustrations bring you down.
Be in it for the long haul, okay?

I’m definitely in it for the long haul!
I didn’t lose that much muscle on the V-Diet. I lost it not lifting heavy for well about a year. I like to go heavy and when I can’t I get discouraged.
I looked at the #'s from my last pinch about a year ago.
This is my fault and once I get down in weight or when my calories allow I will start going heavy again.
Yeah I had a good day til I crunched the #'s.
I’m pissed, but instead of discouraging me from my goal it will only fuel my desire!
