Today was ok. I’m still feeling tired but I had some pb earlier in the day and it helped.(downwardog’s suggestion)
I have a retirement part tomorrow so there will be food everywhere and a lot of alcohol. I won’t cheat but I’m going to have protein only and no alcohol.
I am on the exact same boat as far as my workouts. I’m totaly unmotivated and scream at myself (inner voice) constantly to push hard till my last set. Im tryin not to be hard on myself but then again I want to try to maximize calories burned during the only 3 days a week I lift. And yeah talkin about steaks and chicken and sushi has been more apealing mentally than lookin at porn…physically. Speaking of, My test. levels have to be down because I haven’t been gettin morning wood like I used to. Anyone experiencing a loss in sex drive?
I really haven’t lost the sex drive. I do have to say I would rather have a steak than sex sometimes though so maybe a little.
Day 25
Today went REALLY good and not so great.
I had a class all day and had to sit and watch everyone eat subway while I drank a coke zero. The only good thing is the people were understanding and actually asked me logical questions about what I was doing and did not just think I was crazy.
Well then I had my dads retirement party. I did not drink or eat a lot but I did have a steak before I went. I then had a chicken thigh and 3 small meatballs… that sucks. I don’t think it will kill me but I don’t like I ate them.
Good Job one nearly crossing that finish line Bill.
“My first Official Rant”
You know I give everyone that completes this diet so much recognition for having an iron will. Every single person I’ve spoken to about my diet has said “OH! I could never do that!” “That’s blasphemous, I’m appalled!” And I just think to myself…peons…heathens. I know maybe they don’t have the same goals as I do, but when someone else wants to reach a goal like climbing Mt. Everest I don’t tell them I could never do that because that would be redirecting the conversation towards me when it’s about their journey not mine. Self-centeredness really takes the fun out of communication.
Hey Bill, how much weight have you lost so far? I’m looking forward to seeing your side by side pics!
I’m not really sure how much I’ve lost. I started about 228 on my scale at work. I weigh myself between two different scales. I weighed in at work Friday and I was 211. I weighed myself 2 days before and I was 214. So I am not sure if it was just a fluke. I am training more since I started the diet and I am taking HOT-ROX Extreme so I might have gained a little muscle.
I don’t have any pics when I started but I have them from when I posted and I definitely think there is a difference. I wish I had more time because I think training more would have generated better results.
On a side note. I have dieted in the past and received similar results in reference to WIEGHT loss. I do however think the diet has allowed me to retain MUCH more muscle. Also the diet has enabled me to stop a pattern of behavior that has sabotaged my progress for MANY MANY years. I’ve said it before, the rapid weight loss is nice but the behavior modification is the key to changing my life.
Forgot to add, if things couldn??t have been hard enough with class all day, people eating in front of me, a retirement party with food and alcohol everywhere, my buddy calls me upset because he got in an argument with his wife. He??s fine just normal marriage stuff. Well he comes to the party and is drinking heavily. This is normal because he is a drinking buddy and we can really toss em back. Well we go out after the party and he doesn??t realize what I??m doing so he tries to get me to do shots with him. Well this was the hardest night on the diet. Normally I would’ve just said eff it and let lose. I explained myself and drank diet soda all night. He is a true friend so he didn’t question me and was supportive. This is how I know I will get to my goal.

I am reading from others that once you start
to bring in the carbs it could open the flood
gates in wanting those foods again.
I’m getting from their post that you have to watch
that slippery slope.
The old patterns haven’t been completely erased.
Warnings of those coming off
the velocity diet need to be heeded.
What did Chris suggest?
Having one meal a day and continue with the shakes.
I’ll have to read it again.
I think those that are concerned of the intensity
of the “v” diet should do the “v” light diet.
I think that could reap the same weight loss results as
the Velocity.
This diet is not to be taken lightly cause it will kick your Ass!!
Makes Grown Men
Cry Like Babies
Dont believe me?!
Try it for 28 days
Its been 16 for me.
I definitely would not recommend this diet for everyone.
But you can work your way into it and have great success.
Br1an true the cravings could come back like crazy. I know it is very possible.
What I think I am going to do is try a ketogenic diet to continue fat loss. I’ve been looking at the Anabolic diet and I really like what I’ve read so far. Although, I don’t want to do all the sat fats. I think I am going to go somewhere between AD and what Thib is doing. He doesn’t cycle the carbs, uses a lot of good fats and eats clean low carb. By clean I mean less than 30 cho and high good fats.
I think I’m going to transition right into this diet. I will do 3 days at 1750 cal, 3 at 2000, 3 at 2250, and lastly stay at 2500 cal for a little while to see how my body reacts and I feel. If I feel good and the results are good I will stay this way til my goal. If I can’t function after 12 days I will add a day of high carb and then right back to low carb anabolic style but still good fats and low glycemic carbs.
More of the same. Didn’t have any cravings cause I ate well yesterday.
Getting my supplies set up for Wednesday.
This is to all the people that think they need to gorge themselves on everything bad in their house or throw it away before starting the V-Diet. Well I’ve found when you are ready you are ready.
The entire time I have been on this diet there have been ice cream sandwiches and Drumstick cones in my freezer.
The thing is, there was no way I was going to mess this diet up. Something just clicked in me and I was ready.
Forgot to add I’m going to measure and take pics Tuesday. I didn’t want to do it today because I end the diet Tuesday anyway so I think it would be stupid to do it today and then again in 3 days.
bill
I know day 27 isn’t over yet but I had to add I weighed myself at work today and I was 209. 211 wasn’t a fluke and I dropped more weight!
Will update later after I get my work done.

I had this same thing happen to me after the intial weight loss. Nothing, .2 pounds down, nothing, .1 pounds, then boom, 3 pounds gone. The scale is a weird thing I placed too much emphasis on the first time around. I’m gonna try to put more stock into measurements and pictures this time.

I read over the Anobolic Diet and seems like the way to go.
Thanks for bringing it to my attention.

dude those pics are good progress from the ones posted 20 Jan!
Especially the back.

Thanks it really does help when I hear/read it.
I def remember the fat me. Never want to feel that way again.

Gosh, are you going to keep this thread going for your transition?
What ARE your transition plans, anyway?[/quote]
Yup I plan on keeping this thread up.
Plan on trying a ketogenic diet like the one Thib is doing. I am going to start at ~1800 cal per day for 3 days and then 2100 for 3 days and finally 2500 for 3 days and reassess. If I feel good on the keto diet I will keep on it and adjust my cal accordingly.
If I feel like shit I will give it at least 12 days and then have one carb up meal. Then go right back to low carb. So if I can I will stay low carb but if I feel like tired all the time I will do a variation of the Anabolic diet and what Thib is doing in his get ripped thread. We’ll see
I’m doing less than 30 of carb
51% pro
44$ fat
5% carb
This will vary a little as I bring the calories up.
thanks again for the compliment
bill
p.s. I’m going to the kitchen and throw the ice cream away right now!
