Progress!!!
Yesterday I did back squat with 125 kg for 10 sets of 3 reps.
Then I did 10 sets of 3 reps with 160 kg deadlift.
Finally,8 sets of 3 reps wit 60 kg military press.
All done in hour and a half.
good luck towards your goals!
6 months ago I had much stronger legs.
I was doing step-ups on a quite high box with a 100 kg and was repping with 80 kg on barbell lunges.
I hope to regain that strength easily.

i was talking about squat clean, not back squat - guess i didnt read the post closely enough.
either way, i couldnt care less how deep he goes in the back squat or the squat clean - all that matters is the weight he lifts.
regarding the squat clean - all i was trying to say is that there are lifters who do not drop as low as they physically can to catch, as pulling the bar a few inches higher is easier for some than getting out of the insanely low position you see in the video i posted.
yeah, but also most guys use the stretch reflex to get out of the bottom, as well as the bar bouncing. Don’t really see why some people sit in the bottom so long :-/
It’s because squat cleaning is always going to be deeper for most people then a back squat.
The guys that sit in the bottoms are the ones that Clean a high % of their front squats. Vanev never does but I think he has front squated 255Kg so he is very strong. Kolecki has done 235kg or whatever figure, but either way he NEVER catchs the bounce properly. He bounces a few times and then bounces out on the 2nd or 3rd bounce. Thats also his technique on limit weights. I can almost gurantee that on 80% he catchs the bounce perfectly, but then the weight is a lot less.
It’s also differences in technique. Dimas never really caught Cleans that low but he had a sick front squat in his prime. During his later years he was struggling though. But I can’t really remember him failing many Cleans. I saw that he failed one in the 04 Games though. He just high pulled it.
It’s not really a case of pulling higher is easier then getting low down. It’s just that they have never really caught Cleans at rock bottom like some lifters do. Much like some lifters are ‘fast’ but some are ‘lightning’ fast! Some lifters lift a lot stronger then they are explosive compared to other lifters.

I did much more work on my legs.I lifted bigger weights and rested less between sets.I could deep back squat 150 kg for 2 reps and box-squat 170 kg little under the parallel.
And also I played a lot of pick-up basketball.I think all those short sprints, changes of direction and jumps did a lot of good for my legs.
Then in July I went to work in Spain.Didnt lift weights for 3 months. All I did was skipping the rope and hitting the focus mitts. As a bouncer I worked wole night every night.
All the lack of sleep, tons of alcohol, hard drugs, wild partying and 1 meal a day messed up my body.
I went to Spain as a solid well-conditioned 90 kg.I came back with 85 kg and more fat.
My first training session I barely power cleaned 80 kg.Before Spain I easily power cleaned 100 kg for 3 reps.
I feel now my leg power is coming back.I had 65 cm vertical jump, now its only 55 cm.This is logical as I dont do any jumping right now.
Also its kind a funny when I read about all those upper-body dominant athletes and lifters on this site or elsewhere.
Here in Croatia, football(soccer) is te king of sports and all kids play it all their childhood. In cities and towns, especially in southern Croatia(Dalmatia),pick-up basketball is also popular.
Lifting gyms are not very popular here.
So majority of athletes and people who played sports growing up are very lower-body dominant.

BALBOS, why do you squat ten sets? that’s madness
Cause I am mad.
whats your max snatch right now? do you dynamic stretch throughout your workout, this helps me.

Well the 3months of no lifting didn’t help nor did the other stuff you were doing!
I’m suprised your vertical dropped so much. I’m pretty sure my vertical didn’t drop much when I was out of training for 9months. Yeah my strength took a big hit but it caught back up very quickly. I’d say within 2months I was hitting heavier weights in the OLifts and my strength was back after about 3months.

Well,I believe you didnt get from 90 kg of bodyweight down to 85 kg with higher body-fat…thats like 7-8 kg of pure muscle loss.
3 monthts of less than 5 hours of sleep, almost no training, one meal a day of fast food, tons of alcohol and cocaine,
half a dozen of red bulls to keep me awake and mental stress of handling big crowds and adapting to different country and culture, having bronhitis and diarrea from being exposed to new bacterias would cut your vertical big time as well.
Progress,progress!!!
Balbos started doing 130 kg for triples in the back squat!!!
Hey Koing,I got banned from Fortified Iron.
Some FI mod insulted my people (Croats) very badly.
I reacted accordingly and got banned.
Then I posted link to that thread to Croatian site and my people retaliated all over FI.Then FI mods erased that thread like nothing happened.
I got banned and that mod remain as a mod there.

Its Christmas hholidays! Only rest & relaxation for Balbos!
Its either I snatch 100 kg or I die!
My buddies were laughing at me over a few rounds of beer( vodka for me). They said that I am too old to get into Oly lifting and that those lifters are all heavy-steroid user.
I said f*** you all,I am going to the gym.
When I watch this picture of my back,I guess I lack low back and trap development as compared to the back of lifter snatching 100 kg.

Thanks,Klippy!
Progress,progress!!!
Today I warmed up and measured vertical jump.
Its 60 cm.
I measured last week 55 cm,but it was after training when my legs were tired.
I also dropped 2 kilos. My bw is now 88 kg.
Back squat is now 3 reps with 130 kg for multiple sets.
