Lower Left Knee Pain while Squatting

I just recently started getting lower knee pain in my left knee. It started when I tried doing leg presses. I never liked doing leg presses because of discomfort in the knee. Anyhow this time I stuck to them and tried adjusting my feet to get the pain to go away in my left knee. I am short at 5’7" and maybe this specific leg machine isn’t suited for my height very well. Anyhow I have switched back to squats and now I am having knee pain for the first time in squats. Its the left knee right below the knee cap.

Should I get knee wraps? What kind do you recommend? I know I shouldn’t use them to long because it can make your knees weaker but maybe I can do it for a couple of weeks so it can heal. Then only use the wrpas if I am doing heavy 5RM-1RM. Do you guys have a better idea? Thanks for any help.

Patellar tendonitis maybe?

If it’s just below the patella I’m guessing that’s what it is. Do you play any jumping sports? Or do a lot of running?

Try to find a Cho-Pat strap and see if that fixes you up… but other than that, just try to rest it.

I don’t really play any jumping sports or run alot. Don’t like to because I drop weight to quickly. I will definantly give one of those Cho-Pat straps a try. I assume I can only order this online.
