Hey Newb, better name. Next step is to just call yourself Mega. As if I knew it was coming, the day I powercleaned 290 and just missed 300, my life went into the toilet. A long, dreary story.

For the last seven months did pussy workouts in a club gym with machines. Just got back to barbells and damn it feels good. I’m weak but my drive is back so I should regain my strength pretty quickly I hope. Doc

Lifting is one of the best things you can do to keep yourself sane when shit starts going down hill. I hope you start to make the progress you were making, because at your age your gains were ridiculous!

That would be something if you did make it to the senior olympics. If you can keep your passion for lifting, your gains will come and you’ll be a beast. Most of the logs also are in the training logs forum, along with megas log-he has got ridiculously stronger- and koings.

Hey, this thread caught my eye, any mention of someone power cleaning 400+ makes me want to see if they’re legit. (I’m sick that way, you know, very protective of my old PR.)

Plus, I am officially still alive after being a ghost the past seven months. Hel320 told me they just included OL in Senior Olympics and that has my heart beating again.

Wanted to shout out at some old friends I miss shooting the breeze with, like MegaNewb, Shizen, Hanley. What happened to Koing's thread btw? Doc
I was wondering where you got to. It’s good to see ya back!

I know this may be late but I have just recently stumbled upon this forum after a google of trainer Larry Pacifico. And alot of the responses have been bashing Jimmie his son, but I can tell you I am not lying when I say i have witnessed this.

I do not know much of suits because I train raw, so I cannot tell you what ply the suit was, but one was worn. Yes he is 19 going on 20, and yes he did these squat and bench presses, drug free( for those skeptics out there( and the bench was raw as btw)). I can say that i have witnessed it because he did come during the summer and did over 1000. i know this because I was training there the day he set it as a PR.

on bb.com theres a guy who is lifting (I think coaching) at the same gym Jimmie is going to. Says the kid did 405x3 bench bouncing a shit load. And that some people witnessed him squating 600lbs for reps raw.

So that sort of puts his strength back into perspective for everyone here.

So why hasn’t he hit the supposed numbers in a meet? There are hundreds of meets a year all over the country and he just can’t find the time to go? I call BS.

Pretty interesting fourm about me? haha…I have no reason to “lie” about my lifts. I have done 1,002lb squat w knee wraps and a double ply. Done 565BP w a shirt. Donno why everyone is bashing me?

Dont really care either. The reason I havent competed in any meets is because right now in my life I compete in track year round. And for the guy who said I never threw the distance that was shown is because I did it during the summer in a meet,

After my season out in California…and for the guy who said I need to work on my speed hahaha 4.38 is fast for a 230lb guy, so speed isnt a factor in my world. Its cool to not believe, maybe someday I WILL compete in powerlifting, then the truth will be told.

For those who back me up, thank you…jus shawn the non believers lol. I plan on hittin 62-63 feet this season so Im pretty sure track is my way of life, and thats not to shabby for a 5’9 guy like me

lol still “home boy” there arnt ways around steroids these days, obviously you dont get tested, and seeing how you “think” i do…that obviously points the fingers at you that actually do that um and thats fine I guess. But they test for masking agents man, and watch me piss…so NO way around that lol. 16-17 yrs old taking Winstrol?

Are you for real, the “friend” you had claiming to be mine is far from the truth. I was a freshman for christ sake, people I sware are dumb as shit…and I have no reason to “act dumb” or “play dumb” but I appreciate the subject bro…makes me work JUST as hard

Wish Miknevich, Tikhon, Dev, Anuus, and Fazekas knew about it. Theres a lot of OG medals lost on drugs between those guys this decade.

There are boutique drugs from Balco, and maybe others that are unknown and not tested. But if you can buy it on the shelf it is tested.

The tests get better and better each year, and the boutique drugs are too expensive for a throwers pocket.
Mega Newb wrote:

But with your dads drug use its almost impossible for you not to know that you can use and get away with it.
Larry won 9 worlds from 1971 to 1980, in that period there was no drug testing. It was a moral issue not a technical control.

Not sure he ever failed a test, not sure he ever had a test.

Irony ROCKS

It may have been that he was not aware that shotputters often bench with a bounce, often use rubber pads, I forget the technical reasons for it but it is relative to the explosive nature of there event. I know PLers move explosively, but shotputters also move fast.

Think Timmerman (mens WR holder in mid 80’s, used to bench 500+ bouncing off a pad, and Val Villi’s (2008 OG womens shot gold) coach told me early this year that her best with the pad was 167.50KGs.

Many different ways to train.

lol Irony rocks? I kno right, I was speaking for these people on here that dont kno what they’re talkin about. If your indicating me being dumb jus cause I’m at a junior college, ya your right…I was dumb and didnt care about school work during my freshman and soph yrs of HS. Didnt rebound me back up at the end  But I dont mind, learn from mistakes…its the way of life.

I think he was referring to the irony of someone calling people dumb as shit when it doesn’t really seem like he can spell.

I know an 18 year old who can deadlift 730 raw at a bodyweight in the 240’s. Bench 475 touch and go (raw). I forget the squat but it’s in the 600’s with knee wraps for reps. So anything is possible, and he does compete in powerlifting and has records. Has tons of vids on youtube. You never know! lol

name?

but only because I would like to see the youtube videos

Pacifico, I really do hope you are legit, but you have to admit your numbers are very extraordinary. It’s almost hard NOT to call BS.

I feel you man^. Its all good, I hope to compete though sometime soon, tryin to find ways in between track and what not. Its hard gaining weight to jump to the 242lb class. Iv been around 230-235 for bout 2 yrs now. Got any advise? I eat like a horse but jus cant seem to gain the weight. Might be all the running we do but still lol.
