You would adapt, but why would you make it your only exercise?

Everything else is fairly uncomfortable to my shoulder. I was thinking if I performed this it would eventually fix my posture & wouldn’t irritate my shoulder further while doing it.

I think Coach Thibs posted an exercise that was a modified Shrug using the cable machine that was good for some shoulder problems.

Try to get to a physiotherapist. There is ‘good’ irritation and ‘bad’ irritation. I have a problem at the AC joints and my rehab stuff definitely aggravates it but I know I’m on the right track (and thankfully, I am starting to see some results).

A lot of the muscles responsible for shoulder stability are composed mainly of slow twitch fibres. When you use anything other than a light weight you bring the big prime movers into play and the little ones get neglected.

I don’t even use the cable machine on the lightest plate to do external rotations. It is just too heavy to target the correct muscles. I work in the 30-rep range using a theraband.

I just got MRI results and nothing showed up, so, I’m just going to train regularly and add in some rotator cuff work in 2x a week
