Journey to the Unknown

I don’t really care about the labeling of ‘natty’ or ‘enhanced’ or whatever. I’m honestly just interested in Champs future plans, because I’d like to kind of follow along the journey of an advanced natty as they take that ‘next’ step. I’m pretty sure I asked Bug once in his log if maybe he had hit point where super supps would be a logical next step, for the same reason. I’ve never really seen a log of someone as they go through that change, or legit before and after pics (I know theirs pics of ppl like Ronnie in natty competitions and such, but I’m more interested in those with less-then-elite genetics. lol), Champ has seemed to be moderately open to the subject before, so I was just wondering if maybe this was potential sign of more to come. lol

I’m excited to see how this works out though. The stint with Clen was my favorite part of SSC’s log too, just because, Idk, it’s never talked about, yet obviously an aspect of this game. lol Good luck man[/quote]

pretty sure his goals extend far beyond what is possible for him natty. : )

I know mine are.

My goals as well are going to be beyond what my genetics will allow me. I am ok with that. I know i train my ass off and work harder than most in both the kitchen and gym so the comments that its da drugs will not bother me in the least

State: sorry bout that man i couldnt remember if they acted on the same receptors. For the first RFL cycle you could do yohimbine with green tea and caffeine and switch to clen for the second. I would keep green tea in there the whole time. Good for health and some fat burning as well. I know modok said his favorite cutting stack was EC and green tea

Dang, I’m adding in more food and literally force feeding but strength is a bit down from last week on close-grips. It might be from shorter rest periods. I had a good workout partner today who kept the intensity high.

You bashing my genetics, Spidey? lol. I agree, it’s definitely nice to see a transformation from natty to enhanced. I have two internet friends who are currently on their first cycle and the changes they’re making are intense. They’re using different compounds so their looks are completely different but the changes that have been made are absolutely undeniable and pretty amazing as well.

Natural goals are wonderful and all…but we want more!

Ha no big, buddy. I decided with bugeishaAD that I’ll be doing a 3 week clen cycle, starting on Day 8 of RFL. I will definitely throw some money down on green tea though as you are the umpteenth person to trumpet its benefits. Any suggestions for cheaper brands available at most stores? I am a little low on cash right now.

I get mine at costco. Its called a fat burner so it has some other stuff in it like caffeine but i just want the green tea. I have never looked farther than that. If you find something cheaper or better i wouldnt mind hearing about it if you have the chance.

Have you ever posted pics or anything b4 just curious as to where you are at and what the final transformation looks like.

Lol, I am stuck in Costco-less Oklahoma. I’ll do some looking. I’m sure Sam’s Club has something similar. I’ll definitely let you know.

I have a picture up on page 2 of this log and there are some more interspersed through the latter pages of my last log.

First day of Category 1 RFL in the books! It was pretty easy. I weighed 191 lbs first thing in the morning and 199 lbs post-workout. I had a refeed day yesterday. I ate a lot of manicotti, 93/7 lean ground beef patties, bean soup, potatoes and bananas and other fruits and high-carb foods. The workout went pretty well. I think my top set tied my best with that weight and my strength wasn’t awful. I was just sweating a TON during the workout and felt a bit drained. Good first day.

RFL Nutrition Update

~300g of protein every day in the form of chicken breast, whey protein powder, tuna and egg whites
~30g of carbs in the form of Gatorade, Xtend, broccoli, celery and energy shots
2 fish oil capsules, 2 multivitamins

Starting weight: 191 lbs, 11-13 percent body fat

Every single rep on that top set was a grinder. I was pretty proud of myself for finishing it out the way I did. Energy is pretty crappy considering I had a big refeed on Sunday but my strength is decent. I am absolutely starving right now. Bodyweight was 190 lbs this morning.

I know what you mean about starving. I took the fasting approach and fasted a lot of the day. Once i start eating its hard to stop so I had to always have lots of meat and greens at the end of the day otherwise i would go over my alloted pro ever day. For me once i start fasting i get into and its pretty easy. Just a thought if that will help. Day 3 was the worst for me. Intense brain fog feeling like death. Got easier after that. Of course i kept my normal activity which was 30min low intensity liss and 1.5-2 hr high volume sessions. I wouldnt do that again lol

After pics? If you are as critical of your own physique as you are with others and you are at a true 11-12% you are gonna be one lean person after this RFL business. HOw close were you to that pic on pg 2 condition wise?

I’ve been doing Leangains-style intermittent fasting for the past year (with two four week breaks) so I decided to switch things up a little bit after reading a post by John Meadows over on ProM regarding muscle loss due to fasting.

'Many are - you just aren’t hearing about it. m-TOR turns off at some point in the fasting process…maybe 12 hours for most…so going 16 is overboard in my opinion…

A small mini fast in the morning (like say 2 hours) does the job, and does it better…

The eating itself process you are talking about is autophagy…IM triggers it…it’s good to a point…junk gets cleaned out…my technical terms…lol…but too long and you start eating fast twitch muscle…not good…’

A 1.5 hour ‘fast’ works for me because I don’t have to eat breakfast right out of bed in the morning. If it’s as bad as you say, I am so glad I don’t have to lift on Day 3…of course, that means I don’t get my 30g carbs pre-workout. lol

I will definitely post before and after pictures once I’m done with the RFL phases. Am I really that critical? You make me feel like I’m a huge douche while posting. I just try to be honest. lol. I meant to write 11-13 percent but I guess T-Nation never edited it in. Regardless, I was substantially leaner Monday morning than I was in that page 2 picture, especially in the abs. low back and legs.

Have you ever read Dat’s website? I would recocmend reading their. His research opposes a lot of what JM and Kiefer are saying about fasting. He sites lots of research and i am just to lazy to really dive into it. Good reading though which is why i dont mind fasting a bit. Mainly dat is one smart man and has lots of reserach to back it up. ect.

I didnt mean you being critical as a bad thing. I think its a great trait IMO. ONe that is dissappearing fast. Being abel to call things as they are and not sugar coat them. ALso the being critical i was thinking of when you comment on the pro BBers. You know what you are looking for so if you use that same critical eye when analyizing yourself then you saying 11-13 really means it. Not a someone thinking hey i have an ab i am at 10% lol If you were leaner than that pic you are gonna be pretty damn shredded just after you first RFL round.

Datbtrue? I’ve heard of him but never done any research because of his forum being private. I know bugeishaAD has incorporated some of his ideas like longer/full day fasts. I’m definitely not against fasting though. I will be returning to it once I’m gaining again.

Haha nah, I am definitely honest with my body fat assessments. I’ll post up a picture of Day 1, Day 14 and Day 28 once I’m done with this and you can tell me what you think. I’m hoping to be REALLY shredded by the time I’m done with RFL which is why I think I’ll need two rounds.

You weren’t lying! Brain fog really does hit on Day 3. lol. Feeling a bit slow.

BW was 186 lbs this morning and 189 lbs postworkout. I am looking pretty lean especially now that I shaved my legs. There is some good vascularity there. Workout was pretty great too. I was pausing the presses and got a great upper chest pump. The top set of shrugs was pretty sloppy. I’m not as hungry as well, I think my stomach is shrinking.

I was gonna say it gets better after day 3 or it did for me at least. Looks like that is working for you as well. Strong session

BW of 184 lbs this morning. Vascularity was pretty awesome in the legs today and I’m not feeling too terrible. I’m having this weird once daily diarrhea issue though. It’s either related to drinking egg whites from the carton (unlikely, because I never had issues with that prior to RFL), chicken spoilage (there was a 3 hour power outage when I had raw chicken in the fridge) or brocolli (I could have made too big of a jump in fiber intake). It’s weird. Regardless, this RFL experiment is going pretty well. I may even have to cut it down to one and a half cycles depending on how potent the clenbuterol is; that may wind up being all I need for my purposes. Oh, and last night I had a dream I was eating pizza and bread sticks. I could taste the fat and salt on my lips. lol

I agree, things are definitely looking up. I get REALLY tired at night though and getting up out of bed in the morning is a struggle. I’m fine other than that though. Thanks! Strength isn’t suffering as much as I thought it would.

Strength is definitely starting to suffer right now. I’m a lot leaner though. Lower back has yet to come in properly =/ I’m thinking two more weeks of RFL with the addition of clenbuterol will be all I need. bugeishaAD only started looking his best during his RFL experiment once he added in clen. I’m hoping the same goes for me.
