Getting High

So, I’m re-starting a log. Just finished up a 12 week mount dog inspired cycle and I’m looking to get back into heavy lifting so I’m on my second week of a west side style-ish lifting. My program looks like this:
Lifting:
AM: Main lift
PM: Accessory/recovery work

“Off days”
Conditioning/cardio/strength conditioning

2 days on, 1 day off. Sunday is a rest day where I plan on doing runs when I feel like it.

I’m wanting to get some strength back on my main lifts and increase my conditioning going into the 9/11 stair climb in Nashville in September. I’ve been rehabbing my back for the past 6 months and am finally getting back into heavier squatting. At this point regular deadlifting is still a no-go (I have a bone spur problem on the front of my knee anyway), but I’ve started incorporating some trap bar pulls.

Weight 198

AM
Strict press
Barx15
95x5
135x3
155x2
185x2
195x2
205x1
215x1
225x1
195x6 Cluster set
135x5,4,3,2,1 HDL
115 (50 pounds of earrings)x15

225 is only 5 pounds off an all time PR from when I was 30 pounds heavier. Strength is really bouncing back, I actually missed 205 2 weeks ago, lol.

For a correct speed video:

Goofing off yesterday did some single leg squats. These are way easier lighter, who’d have guessed.

Tip for people wanting to try them, do them from an elevated surface so you don’t have to try to keep your leg off the ground.

I saw the name of this thread and thought “Oh wow, I’ve been thinking about making a thread like this for days now, I love working out while I’m high”.

No… that’s not what this was about. Still enjoyed your videos though.

Ironically, I’ve actually never smoked weed before…

lol. I enjoy life to much to want to escape from it. Or, I’m just an uncool teetotaler and I’m rationalizing.

In my opinion, weed is just a choice like any other choice.

I wouldn’t call someone cool because they ate greek-yoghurt or broccoli, and I wouldn’t call someone un-cool if they chose not to consume alcohol. So either way, no one should care if you don’t smoke or if I do smoke.

Maybe in your experience, for a majority of people, weed is about ‘escaping life’ but I wouldn’t assume that about every single person I met that smoked weed.

Looks like a beautiful morning to die.

I think I’ll strap myself to this hunk of metal and pull it back and forth across the yard till I fall over. It really seems to impress the cute chicks.

Continuous sled pull across the yard pausing only long enough to change weights, walking speed:
(sled)+45x2 (trips)
+90x2
+135x2
+45x2
+180x2
+0x2
+45x2
+90x2
+135x2
+180x.5
+135x.5
+90x1
+45x2
+0x2

31 straight minutes, 22 total trips

Tires slams 3x25

Pull ups BW 3x15

I actually busted my shin on one of the double jumps and got a video of it. Not sure that I want to incriminate myself by posting a video of me doing something stupid on the internet though.
