I Shoulda Been a Cowboy

New to keeping a log. Need to though. Everybody advises it so it must be a good tool.

So I do 531 for powerlifting. 3 day split. Maxes are 245 raw squat no belt, 177 bench (shitty I know) and 375 deadlift. 5’9 140 pounds lift in the 148 class.

Monday-
Deadlift
Good mornings
Maybe planks or ab wheel rollouts if I feel froggy.

Wednesday-
Bench
DB rows 3x20 30 pounds (heaviest DB’s I own)
DB neutral grip bench 3x20 30 pounds

Friday-
Squat, squat, and squat
If I am at the gym leg press
At home single leg squats

I do it cause I love it.

Meet coming up November 10th in Ravenswood WV. I cannot decide if I want to do a full meet or deadlift only again. I did deadlift only in July and did 160 kg/352 lbs.

My bench is complete ass and I’m not sure I want to do it.

Yeah I may. Depends on how the shoulder feels I guess. I’m doing deadlift for sure, but idk about full meet.

Well its back to the lab again wednesday for some light squats and bench. Then my last cycle leading up to the meet. 31 days til weigh ins. Going to be drinking as much milk as I can force down trying to be a full 148 pounds.

Lost too much weight belt doesn’t fit right. But I just got paid so time to GOMAD.

Well I got a bad case of ring worm/jock itch and my groin is bothering me so I’m doing the meet deadlift only.
Today I’m gonna do some overhead pressing and enjoy some football.

It’s the same thing as athlete’s foot. Just not on your foot.

Today did strict OHP and did a new PR 115!

Happy with that. 20 pounds away from pressing what I weigh.

Yesterday I went to the gym for my last lifting session before the meet.

Deadlift-

DB raise superset bent over then standing up straight

15 pounds 4 sets of 10 10

Did two sets of 15 on back extensions and then sit ups.

Then to finish off I did 4 sets of 25 on leg extensions

Came home and showered and went to fright farm with my girlfriend and her roommates. Which meant I had to skip eating dinner to drive to Pennsylvania and walk around for 3 hours. Oh well, had a big mac on the way home.
Was up until after 3am because of how sore my lower back and hips were from walking around. Feels like I will never heal.

The meet is one week from tomorrow. Gotta bloat up, get focused, and kick ass.
My attempts are 308, 330, and 374.

Had to bail on the meet. Got a job roofing a house. So I’m glad I finally found some work to line my pockets with a little cash, but it had to happen this weekend right? Such is life.
