I got called today by a casting agency about extrawork in a movie next thursday. The scene is a yogaclass, and as I’m wearing a singlet or t-shirt I want to beef up my arms a bit just for the shoot.
I’d be lying if I said this was for any other reason than vanity.
I’m in good shape and lift 4 days a week, and allthough I’ve never been stronger I almost never work my arms directly and they used to be bigger (They’re about 15").
What can I do to jack my arms up, pure sarcoplasm/water retention/whatever, in one week exactly?
I don’t think it would portray yoga class realistically if your arms were any bigger than 15".
Just give your arms a pump before the shoot, and possibly bring weights with you between shots to keep it up. Other than that you can’t really get any significant growth in a week.
I agree with the pumping before the scene. If it were me I’d do an exercise that emphasizes the lateral head of the triceps and one for the bhracialis. Those muscles tend to look more “showy” and will give you the illusion of a larger arm.
Ok I know a lota people are say I’m mad but you could try takeing a few tabs of d-bol between now and the shoot. It should increse your girth somewhat although its only water. The previous post about pumping up is the most practicle, thats what all the movie stars do.
One example I can think of is the beach scene in Casin Royale. Craige looks so pumped up that hes about to expload. Of course the media kept going on about how well developed he had become but really he isnt all that big at all.Anyway good look with the shoot.
I’d think you’d want to cut water/carbs for the shoot so you have more definition on screen. Aim for the “Brad-Pitt-Effect”.

I’ve got nothing to loose, and this is just for fun so why not.
I disagree about not being able to get visible results in one week. We’re not talking about getting in shape here, just peaking in on one part. This is easier when you are in okay shape, I did this with chest for a shirtless scene once - I just hit the db bench and flyes every day for a little over a week (easy the first two days, I tried to get in as many pec-days as possible and recover from them), as well as getting a pump on shooting day. Definitly looked better. So I thought I’d get the blood flowing to the arms this time
