Not sure how this is personal.
no it doesn’t bother me…
quite a bit of people out perform me.
i don’t really get where you’re going with this… you are trying to somehow get me to admit this is all because of jealousy etcetc, when it absolutely isnt… i look up to plenty of athletes and coaches who are better than me…

i knew people would think im a jackass for doing this even if he is a fraud and i am correct, that doesn’t bug me. what cracks me up is, if he was legit, he’d come to his own rescue and make me look like even more of an idiot… no man i know would allow his world records to be tarnished by some “douchebag” named adarqui.

Proof of what? Messed up camera angles and excuses about being private yet posting all these pics, telling poeple where he works, becoming a member of the flying101 dunk team (yet we never saw a dunk) etc?
im pretty sure he claimed BELT and parallel… not DEEP.
peace
A belt is raw. And in competition, parallel is just the same as deep, so that makes no difference. I have to correct myself though. Sam Byrd thinks he’s good for 750 now…at 220. SquatDr claims he’s good for 740 at a significantly lighter bodyweight.

Based on hang-time the first video has him at around 42" give or take 3", the hand slap cannot be legitimised because you never actually see his body, could just be some dude slapping the board. The second one just has pictures, easily faked if one cares enough, as SquatDr obviously would if he were taking his fraudulence to this degree. The third link goes to a letter written by SquatDr, think about it.

Yeah, I know. The general lifting population seems to think of raw as just a belt though, so I was just quoting from his comments on his article on Powerlifting Watch. The 750 was what he thought he could squat in just a belt, and SquatDr squatted in just a belt as well.
I call belt and wraps raw and every lifter I know in real life does as well.
FWIW, there are some guys out there that we’ve never heard of that can lift stupid weight. If they never compete and they don’t get into YouTubeing their gym lifts, their accomplishments pretty much cruise under the radar. So it’s possible that this dude is telling the truth.
I assume that everyone on here that gives a stat about themselves is being honest. If they’re not, who cares? Your internet bragging rights aren’t worth much. At least not to me. Since, afterall, I am a billionaire CIA agent cage-fighter and when I am not killing ninjas or banging porn starlets with my 15-inch dick I am flying in one of my MiG-29s

It’s pretty lame that the OP created 2 more user names for this thread, but those camera angles do seem fishy.
AllstarNZ wrote:
This is one of the most retarded posts I have ever read. If you actually read the threads about it on TVS and DB then you would have to be the the most gullible person alive to not have doubts about squatdr.
Did I say that he couldn’t possibly be lying? He’s a great athlete either way. I’m not going to be upset at all if I took advice from a guy just because he doesn’t have a 50 inch vertical. I mean, isn’t Kelly Baggett your hero over there? Rightfully so, but even he doesn’t have a 50 inch vertical.
Not really. If I had a question about my vertical jump, there are several people I would go before I went to TVS. Just to give a few names I know you’ll recognize; Nizar, JTrinsey, and Kelly Baggett. Technically they are all members at your site, but none of them are active anymore.
Who are you to say who is legit and who isn’t? You’re talking about people you met over the internet. You don’t know if ANYBODY is legit.
I met SquatDr a few years ago in a weightroom in Sioux Falls. He seemed like a genuinely nice guy. It was mid-winter in SD and he talked alot about sprinting - shoveling snow off a track so he could run. I was doing some high bar squats we briefly talked squatting. We had both competed for the same university in Track and Field but at different times. The guy looked very athletic, I don’t recall what he was lifting that day but I do remember that he had some big ass ripped to shreds legs for a “little guy”.
A side note: In the same gym there was a 650 bench presser who is probably little known, but it was a usapl comp that he benched 650 in so I guess it’s legit. Also I know a local kid that plays football at the NAIA level that going into his junior year benched a raw gym legal 530, he is a senior this year. So I guess the point is that there are some monster weightroom efforts that go on unnoticed by the majority that happen everyday. Is SquatDr’s squat pr possible? maybe. Can he jump what he says he can? maybe. Does it matter to me no but I just wanted to say that my brief experience with the guy was positive.
I lifted some big squats when I was a kid but I have very little evidence of it, so did it happen?
I don’t stalk SquatDr, but I have heard of him before, and I gotta say… it’s about time someone called BS on some of his claims!
I don’t know shit about jumping and such so I won’t comment on that, but his 740 raw and parallel squat is straight up bullshit. I know there are some freaks out there, but with all the claims this guy has made on the web and all the publicity he’s gained he’d post a squat video if he were legit. He’s disclosed his name, he’s posted pics, and he’s posted some jumping videos, so there’s no reason for him to not post it. OK, so he hasn’t pushed his squat for a while and he ONLY squats 600-something for 3 now. That’s still damn impressive, definitely world class for his body weight, and if he really could do it he’d post a video. But he can’t, so he never will.
And FWIW, Sam Byrd can’t dunk, although he can grab rim.

Ya he is probably on steriods has springs in his shoes. Lol messed up camera angles don’t put your head at the rim regardless. You can analyze all you want but I bet you that your not even close as being as athletic as he is.
Been calling BS on his claims for awhile. There are very few legit standing 40" verts, and maybe NO legit standing 50’s. His one vid looks like a lower rim set up at an altered angle, and everything else is just easily doctored pics. He signed up with a dunk crew over a year ago, posted a vid with no dunking and never had another vid show up. As a side note, Charles Milan -the creator of Team Flight Brothers - was also found to be an internet bullshitter. All of his “dunking” claims were proven to be outright lies. Fuckin’ people man.
btw, when i clarified that he said he used a belt/went parallel, i was just pointing that out in case anyone was thinking he went ATG or no belt… that would possibly create more doubters on wrong info.

FYI, squatdr claims a standing vert elbow hang from lob is what got him into flying101… he claims he only landed it once.
and ya, milan definitely lied about his own vert… he actually does have some ok hops though… he’s used some suspect looking rim height footage in some of his TFB vids, but there’s enough legit looking footage to know his guys can jump out of this planet.

That’s ridiculous. Some of the TFB vids are obviously a little suspect, but most [if not all] of those cats can still get up.

I have never even heard of this guy till now but for what it’s worth- I was a strength coach at a D-1 about twelve years ago and we had a freak of nature fullback who benched 515x5 in a t-shirt at 210 lbs. Of course, no one believed it till they saw it. I tried to get him to lift competitively after he graduated but he just could not care less. To my knowledge he never did anything with it. So with regard to the squat numbers, you never know. World records are, factually, only records among those who compete.
very true, but i would still have to see it to believe it. and 515x2 bench is not that unbelievable to me. i grew up and worked out a long time in the southeast, and many of gyms i worked out at were almost all black dudes, and i knew several who could rep out 4 plates plus change and hit 500 or so RAW in the bench press. trust me. a DEEP RAW 700 plus squat is a MUCH rarer animal.
Point taken, as I have seen those numbers many times as well. For the record, it was 515x5, not x2, but what made it astounding to me was his bw and the ease with which he did it. 210 and while it was a failure set, there was no obvious struggle on the last rep. He also never trained with any particular strategy mind- just come in and bench press. We were told, by the head coach, to leave him alone as he “had it covered”.??? I agree that the squat numbers are much more rare, but I think this is simply due to Americans being so obsessed with bench to the detriment of other lifts. All of my european competitors and training partners in T&F and Highland Games were more well rounded in training approach. At a different D1 that I was at, we had the NCAA champ in javelin, Swedish guy, and I saw 650 squat-no belt, no wraps- x 2, oly style, butt to floor, at 205. Again, his focus wasn’t even on squatting. Genetics can be ridiculous.
