I Think I'm Going to Do It...

Chesticles- Have to say ive been getting kinda bored with chest these days, so i played around with some different movements today.

DB press- 20/40, 15/70, 15/100, 12/120, 6/140 (crapped out early here)

Db fly (wanted to keep the eccentric movement slow and the reps a bit higher. I tend to get a little should agitation when i go heavy with flys these days, especially since my delts are still wrecked)- 12/35, 12/40, 12/45, 10/50

Incline HS press- 12/2P, 12/4P, 12/6P, 8/8P Then i fully extended my arms and concentrated on the eccentric portion of the rep, and repeated this 3x. Wreckedzors

Floor Press (hadnt done these in a bit…)- 10/135, 8/185 (Shoulder started wigging out, so i ended it)

Cable Flies- 10/40, 10/50x2, 10/60, 8/70, 8/80

Eccentric Flies (Starting the rep at the top with hands touching)- 8/30x2, 8/40

Seated Calf raises- 15/2P, 15/3P, 15/4P, 15/5P, 12/6P

Standing calf raises- 15/405, 15/450, 15/495, 12/495+2P in my hands

Followed ofc by 30min of elliptical steady state work.

Things are looking better, cuts are coming in, muscles are rounding out. I actually noticed new stretchmarks appear on my chest after todays workout (was very pumptastic). I cant say that im satisfied though. Things arent good enough. There has to be more to do, something more I can do…But we cant lose ourselves in the act, we must keep our focus on the desired product. Its like a finger pointing away to the moon, we must not focus on the finger for we will miss all that heavenly glory. (name the movie thats derived from for bonus points)

Back/bis

BB rows- 15/95, 15/135, 12/225, 12/315, 8/405

Rack pulls- 15/135, 15/225, 15/315, 10/405, 8/495, 5/545

DB row- 8/70, 8/100, 8/120, 8/140

HS row- 8/4P, 8/6P, 8/8P, 6/10P

Low Cable 1h Row (did this on a different machine)- 8/70, 8/120, 8/170, 8/200

Incline curls- 10/25, 10/30, 10/35, 8/40, 8/45

Pinwheel curls- 8/40, 8/50, 8/60, 8/70, 8/80

Reverse grip Machine preacher curls- 12/40, 12/50, 10/60

Followed by of course 30min of steady state elliptical work.

Tired…wrecked…been dealing with school nonsense, and Have a huge headache. Ugh. Gotta keep pounding away…

Nah fuck that noise. I dont think id have the energy to do stairs after my workouts lol. I mean, i COULD do them, but seriously by the time im done with weights im already sopping wet, and i know itll be like the front row at sea world for people around me if i do stairs. plus, Anytime around my Leg workout, something like stairs would be a splinter in the eye. Na mean?

oh yeah stairs after legs day would be horrendous. I wouldnt recommend that.

If you dont end up doing the march comp what one are you lookin to do? I thought I remember you said you’d do one in May? Is it also in SD?

Yes, it is in May and also in SD. I actually believe its also in mission valley too.

Alrighty was a bit pressed for time today, or rather yesterday since i wasnt able to upload anything.

DTT-

Upright rows- 15/65, 12/95, 10/135, 8/185, 6/225

DB laterals- 12/30, 12/40, 8/50, 8/60

Cable laterals- 10/30, 8/40, 8/50
SUPERSETTED WITH
Cable Bells 10/20x3

Front Kai raises (really turning the hand and coming across the body to pop the front delt up)- 8/15, 8/30, 8/40

Skiiers- 8/30, 8/40, 8/50, 8/60

Lat Pulldown Tri extension- 15/50, 15/70, 10/100, 8/120, 8/140

Db tri arc- 8/25, 8/30, 8/40, 8/50

Machine Dips- 15/225, 15/270, 15/330

Machine Tri extensions (did this to really pump and blast em)- 30/50, 30/70

Shrugs- 15/135, 15/225, 15/315, 12/405, 8/495.

UGH. Hungry, breakfast.

Hey man, dropped in to check on your progress and see how everything’s been going. Training looks solid dude, and like someone else said, that weight you’ve dropped has got to feel good. Keep truckin’. I look forward to seeing what your final results are.

Legs. I broke the mold with this one…

preexhaust- 15/50x3
GIANT SET-
2legged leg ext
1legged leg ext
Hip raises
2 legged prone leg curls
1 legged prone leg curls

Box squats- 15/95, 10/135, 8/225, 8/315, 4/405, 2/465, 1/495

Hack Squats- 15/4Plates, 12/6P, 8/10P, 8/14P, 4/18P

Leg extensions- 15/100, 15/130, 15/160

and 30min of elliptical work. Looking at what i wrote down, it does not look like my average leg day. I REALLY pushed the weigh today. I dont know why, but i wanted to. And my legs are wrecked.

Id finish a set…Shake my head and grab 2 45s…with bodyparts failing, id shake my head, “No good,” id say, “Just not enough.” Id grab more 45s. I dug deep, reaching down, way down. But i cant say that im satisfied. I pushed to failure, but…but it feels like i stopped just short of striking oil, just short of drawing from the deepest strength any many can summon. What i am, what i achieved…is far from perfection. And its that knowledge that keeps me restless. I will evolve, or i will surely die trying…

Chesticles-

Decline BB- 15/95, 12/135, 8/225, 8/315, 6/405

Decline Fly (felt great)- 8/30, 8/45, 8/55

incline press- 15/70, 12/90, 8/110, 6/130

Cable flies (Done Ruhl style, but coming down from a high setting. Felt great)- 10/50, 10/60, 10/70, 8/80, 8/90

Db pullovers- 15/40, 15/60, 15/80

Seated calf- 15/2P, 15/3p, 15/4p, 12/5p

Standing calf- 15/405, 15/450, 15/495, 12/495+2P in my hands.

Followed ofc by 30min of elliptical work. Played around with some movements today, worked chest through its basic function (Pulling the arm down and cross the body). Wanted to do more, but couldnt since i was a bit pressed for time (Boo class). OOoooh well.

Nah, i hate my work outfit cuz i look the same. I still have wide ass shoulders and a big chest. So regardless of the fact that im down 50lbs (at 215 atm), my shoulders have not lost (may have actually gained size) and my chest is still as big. I STILL just look like a big block lol

Well, i know ive lost a lot of support i had with my recent decision, so we’ll see how long i keep updating this log…
