Where to begin? Well lil waynes song “pussy, money, weed,” really sums it up. I’ve partied very hard and way too much this summer. I can count 2 nights I’ve stayed in in the past 2 months and I also went out every weekend throughout the school year.
Today I was awarded a scholarship for academic excellence. I had to go to a luncheon about a half an hour away where a ceromony was prepared for me and 14 other high achieveing students. I was no where the brightest, but I new I had the most heart.
Each of us prepared a write up about ourselves where we went over our accomplishments, goals, and dreams. You could probably guess what I heard, Sue got straight 4.0 gpa’s here whole high school career, Jonny is going to be a doctor, Beth a lawyer, so on and so forth.
Here’s where things changed. I got called up and this is what was read.
" Austin S is an Honor student from BHS. He has maintained an A average throughout his entire high school career. He has been involved in A.P. and honors courses freshman through senior year. He graduated with an advanced regent??s diploma and will be attending Suffolk Community College this fall in a fitness specialist program. He is also in the Honor??s program at Suffolk.
However, Austin??s passion lies outside of the classroom. He plans to compete and become a professional bodybuilder. Austin has been successfully sculpting his physique for the past two years. It??s a very involved sport which needs attention each and every day.
After his career in bodybuilding is complete after he wins the Mr. Olympia title, he plans to become an athletic trainer. This is what his college experience will be for. He plans to graduate the honor??s program with high marks, and transfer to a school more suited to his needs.
Austin is a very simple man. His satisfaction will only come from his happiness not wealth or fancy accessories. If he can stay happy, have a loving heart, and be generous man he will be fulfilled. He is very grateful and appreciates the generosity of the scholarship committee and gives them many thanks."
So many people were in shock. I loved it. I had people wanting to see me on stage, asking advice. I went up for dessert and one women said “You don’t eat this stuff right.” I said, “I’m starving and I’m bulking.” It felt great and my dad was proud.
I decided to say fuck the party life I don’t need beer to have a good time. I’ll go out chill with my friends, the girls, but refrane from substance abuse and unhealthy habits.
I’m going to rebound and be the biggest, strongest person you will ever meet.
