Subliminal messaging.!!![/quote]

They changed it around on facebook and now my flash player at work won’t let me move the letters around. It is very frusterating. Words with Friends works just fine though!

Man-quotient increased just by reading that DE Lower post!

Monday- 7-2-12-

Hammy Flossy

Sled- 8 plates x 4 trips of 65 feet, 9 plates x 4 trips of 65 feet

Tuesday-7-3-12- ME Upper/basically just failing at life today, day

Got to the gym before my first client arrived and did about 30minutes of upper body mobility/light plyos and throws

Trained the first client

Incline Fat Bar Bench- Close grip kinda (in between the rings and the where the smooth meets the knurling.

75x20
125x10
165x5
215x5<~~~ must have stated “I f*cking hate incline benching” at least 150 times since my first warm-up set to this point.
255x5
305x5
325x5<~~~ maybe had a little bit more but I am pretty sure this is the most weight I have ever inclined ever so I shut it down.

Close Grip-<~~~~ this was a mess. I thought I dropped the weight down to 205. Since I apparently have some sort of palsy today and can’t add and subract whole numbers, the actual weight on the bar was 255. Still got 12 reps though!

Comp Grip- 165lbs x 25

Got pulled into a DB floor to overhead contest. The gym is running a summer challenge and since I am leading in the triple jump (with 28.5 feet (suck it gravity)), everyone wants me to do the other 9 challenges laid out. Got 110 on the floor to overhead and stopped there. First place!

Next client came in so I hit the pause button on my workout.

And hour later…

Band assisted Pull-ups- Light x 3x10
V-Grip Bent over Lat Pulls- Green Bandx5x25

Mini Band Pull Aparts/Green Band Face Pulls-
3x20/3x20

SUPER HIGHWAY TO GREAT GUNZZZZZ Version 2.3:

Fat Bar Curls with a medium grip- 85lbs x 62

Immediately too

Supra Hammer Curls- 85lbs- Got two reps into my first set and the bar broke. One of the rotating handles fell off causing a brief moment of “I just tore my bicep” panic. After about 10 minutes of laughing my ass off at the divine intervention that just took place to keep my guns from getting too huge:

Fat Bar Rev. Grip Curls- 95lbsx5x10 w/10s rest.

Sorry, higher power. Nothing can stop you when you are on the super highway to great gunz.

Glad to be back and not all stupid and slef defeated like before.

Your boy Gage is a monster. Didn’t he get an 800+ squat? I was too busy bombing out to see ofr sure.

380 kg.

He could be my boy. I think I’m 20 years older.

My coach will be on the platform at Raw Nats. I told him to introduce himself, fully aware that you have no clue who I am. Squat deep for him.

I’ve had that collar fall off thing happen before, except I was deadlifting. I thought I ruptured 7 discs or something. It’s amazing how hard it makes you laugh when you realize you aren’t crippled.

This made me laugh way too hard.

I can’t wait to see what you can do when you’re healthy and gaining 30 lbs.

Storm, I don’t want to join the fan club and say your writing is hilarious, but god damnit man…you’re fucking hilarious.

2 part question: Have you used FatGrips(or is it with a “Z” for increased hardcoreness?) before, and how do they compare to using a fat bar? Good alternative for someone not able to drop the cash on a(nother) bar?

Thanks for the warning!

Nothing gets your attention quite like the fear of a disabling injury.

That makes 2 of us. I just need to work on getting some more sleep as well. I just work so damn much and have a very hard time turning my brain off at night.

Thanks for reading. I am glad my Forest Gump style journey through barbell strength sports is amusing to others because it is frustrating as shit to me. haha.

Anyway, they are ok. There is no alternative to a fat bar. I know the orange ones just came out that are supposed to be thicker than the blues. I can’t speak for those yet but the blue ones feel too unnatural to me. I am not a huge fan. But, I was spoiled with having the use of a fat bar before I tried the grips so my opinion might be a little biased.

Journey through Hell Squats- 14 inch cambered bar, low box, 405lbs for 20x3 in 21:20. A little faster than last week with about 300 more pounds of total volume. This was absolutely brutal. I had to sit down for a little while after the last set.

Tri opener
Explosive band rows
Explosive push ups
100 face pulls

Close Grips Floor Press- Worked up to 365 for 3. My triceps feel weak as shit. I’ve never done a close grip floor press before so maybe I just suck at it.

Fat Guy rows- Feet Elevated- 2x12
Dead Hang Pull-Ups-2x10

Had to shut it down here. Will do some arm stuff later when the fitness center traffic dies down. It might look bad if I go over and start shoving elderly members off of the paramount functional trainer machine just to get in some rope attachment curls. I would use the barbell but this place doesnt have one.

Tuesday-7-10-12- Later

Tri ext- 100 with varying weights
Cable straight bar curls- 100 with varying weights
Standing abs- 100 w/60lbs
OH Side Bends- 100 each side w/60lbs

I laughed when I got done this extra workout because 99% of the people that come into the fitness center do something similar to this for a real workout.

Wednesday-7-11-12- Monumental extra workout

Well, it happened. No turning back now…

Hammy Floss
Jump Rope
Global ext/Floss
About a million OH squats and Sotts presses

Here is it. The exact moment that the sport of fitness has arrived:

“Fran” in 8:06. Time wasn’t great. Doing 45 pull-ups when you weigh 270lbs is a b*tch to say the least. I’ve got to say, this mildly wrecked my $hit.
