Gym Limitatons, Same Weights Workout

Hi guys

There is not proper gym in my area the only one would be Gold’s Gym and is really really far and I couldnt afford it on my health worker salary anyway.
But as a health worker we do have discounts in “fitness” gyms and I go to the local one .

The problem is that the “cardio paradise” does not have power rack, not seated row and not t-bar row for example so i have to make do with the available equipment. In itself thats not much of a problem because I could always make do with free weights except for the fact that the gym is always overcrowded!!!.

This corporate greedy gym chains enrol thousands of people and we all have to fit in there somehow and when u try to find a dumbbell or a barbell is never there someone else is using it so i have to grab whatever weights i find and keep them with me for the rest of the workout.

In practice that means that I have to do few ecercises and lots of sets with the same weight, for example I cant really do drop sets cos u never know where the next dumbbell is!

In about 3 or 4 years time I’ll be able to build a gym in my backyard and that should solve the problem cos i rather train alone, but for the time being can anyone please advice me on workouts i can do given the above limitations?

At the moment Im doing lots of rest and pause technique because u can use the same weight, any more advice?, Im also doing 5 or 6 sets of any one given excercise is that too much volume with the same exercise?,i know it would be better to do different exercises more variety but as i said u r lucky to find a set of dumbbells and u must hold them as dear life cos the other guys r in the same predicament always hungry to nick your equipment

I’ve been in your position before. I was at Planet Fitness and their heaviest DB was an 80lber. Pretty good for heavy hammers but thats about it. I basically tightened up the diet and took that period of time off. What you can do is work with what you got. Do they have an olympic bar with some plates? If so you’re set, methinks
