Getting ready for the Lackland Classic in November I PLAN on coming in beastly. Hired a diet coach and talking a prep coach for the last few weeks. Only one thing: how the fuck am I suppose to compete in a public venue in the front of crowds when I have crippling stage-fright? Lol. Plenty of vodka and coffee at the night show I guess.

pretty lofty goal but fuck it. Aim high.
How tall are you?
5’ 11"
I tell myself I’m at 10% but I’m probably closer to 15
That’s funny because I tell myself im 5’8" but im probably closer to 5’7"…
200@ 8% at your height is a great goal. That is a solid physique.
I feel your pain, I wanted SO BADLY to break the 6 foot barrier but never did.
Yeah 200lbs 8% is wicked. It’s proper fitness model territory, not that I have any ambition in that area.
I’m actually probably not as high at 15%, I have good definition in abs, serratus and intercostals. Maybe 12, dunno, still got a ways to go before I’m 8% anyway…
What? You will never feel my pain. Imagine evertime you use a public restroom urinal that your boys are 4 inches closer to ground zero and the splash radius. Then, only then will you understand.
How about poor old ID then?
And speaking as a tall fellow, the higher from whence it dropped, the splashier the piss did splash.

thats a lofty goal for only 1 year–but perhaps you can prove me wrong
Avi is current, sitting at 6’2" 195 lbs.
Hopefully can keep adding some quality mass, and maybe have enough time to lean out and do a Physique show at the end of the year.

with diet/training on point, it’s achieveable via B/C for sure… buuuut that’s unlikely that the starts will align like that.
nothing wrong with being ambitious tho lol

A little late but better than never. I think it would be a cool idea for us all to list our main goals for 2013. At the end of the year we can all reply back with how we ended up. It can be anything so long as it is related to bodybuilding, let’s not make this about personal items or things not related to this subforum.
I am requesting that all active T-Nation posters join in and let’s help keep the ‘group’ accountable for what they put down. Just try to keep it a goal that will take a year to accomplish.
I’ll start.
Main goal for 2013 is to hit 7% bodyfat and maintain at or sub 10% for the rest of the year. Secondary goal is to be injury free for a full 12 months.
Remain injury free
Get to and stay in the 10% BF range
Build muscle
Do gear

I know I am a bit ambitious, but I’d rather set my goals high and fall short than sell myself short. With that being said, I’ll get an accurate reading on my current BF.
My goal is to be ready to go into a contest prep by year’s end and compete in May 2014.

Nice goal, so does that mean you are in a mass phase all year?

Yeah, I’m hoping to lean out over the year while adding some quality mass. Planning on competing in the middleweights.

Nice. kind of my reasoning for wanting to get lean again and then push it to 7% is to see if I even can compete next year or if i need alot more work. Would hate to go through contest prep to find out im really just a skinny bastard who is fluffy.

Sorta where I’m at. I’ve been doing fasted morning walks and doing some HIIT a few times a week so I can really see what I’m working with for the rest of the year. Also, looking awesome during summer won’t hurt.
I imagine I can step on stage with something similar to what Builder is bringing to his show this year.
Going into the year, my goals were:
Weights goal: bench 3, squat 4, pull 5. Way over on the squat already, have hit the bench, about 35lbs away on the pull. Maintain that strength level or above during major life changes (see below).
Spending the summer at home studying for bar exam, starting new job in September. Want to always hit at least 4 days a week of good, hard sessions in the gym no matter what. My position is very demanding, with 100 hour weeks coming my way at times, so this is probably my biggest goal that I want to accomplish.
Remain over 200lbs, getting leaner as the year progresses. Hit 210 a month and a half ago, currently at around 203, and want to get just a bit leaner. Then will go to 210-215 again, then lean out again and see where I’m at.
I’m not in a league with most of you, though I do learn alot from T Nation. I discovered 5/3/1 here and it has changed my life in the gym. Goals for now: I’ve changed my cardio to indoor rowing (ERG). I’m shooting for a half marathron in June. And a full by end of year ( I’ll be 69 then) The half is my first REAL goal in several years. Also, as per Dellanave’s article, I’m setting a new PR each workout. It may only be 5 pounds more or one rep more or 5 sec less rest but I’m going to do it!!
Goal setting requires that you 1) write it down and 2) tell someone for accountability. This should cover both.
