Good work!
I wish there were more here like you but there may be all of 5 who compete and actually look like they should.

I’ve competed twice and know the dedication involved. In fact, I’m running through my bodybuilding diet now, even though I’m not competing. It’s good to go through the paces, to maintain the muscle/ mind memory. In fact, I’d be curious to hear about your diet and training regimen. I’m not stuck in my ways and would love to share thoughts.
You’re 11 weeks out. It seems like eternity but keep in mind the final goal - this will maintain your motivation.
Good luck to you and keep us updated on your progress.

Good, the reason i ask is to help in my own competeitve goals. I saw your picture and you have a similar look to me, i am a little more blocky sadly.
I was wanting to do my first at around 190 in contest shape, and at 5’8", i think that i wouldnt look too far different to you. Which is good enough for me and my first outing…!
Joe
Aside from looking good yourself, those are some solid lifts. Probably have a solid back with a near 500 DL.
Nice job, legs are looking thick.
For a bodybuilding site, there seem to be surprisingly few competing bodybuilders. But I don’t know…when is Prisoner’s next competition?
I’m still looking forward to X getting on stage one of these days.

Thank You X.
That means a lot to me coming from you.

Thanks Ghost. I will post my diet and training a little later tonight. Gotta eat right now.
Just had a show last Saturday, Croatian Nationals, placed second in up to 80kg (~175 lb) class.
I’m currently 5 days out from another show, Grand Prix -Bihac Open, and it SUCKS competing 2 weeks in a row.

What are you weighing in at now? 190 on stage at 5’8" would be pretty great for a natural show.
A good posing coach can help some with the blocky look.
When are you thinking of competing?

Thanks. My back is getting there. I competed last year and was told my back lacked thickness. I have been deadlifting once a week since then and my back has gotten much better. Not to mention my dl went from 405-470 in that time.

Thanks.
I used to see bodybuilders on here all the time. Lately I think it has been lacking.

Congrats. I have never competed more than once a year. I like to get lean once a year for a contest and see how much I improve from year to year. I thought about competing more than once this year but changed my mind
That definetly would suck. Are you done after the next show or are you competing more throughout the year?
12 days out from my show atm. Much hate for the last two weeks.
Also ya competing two times in a row freakin sucks, I did that last year and I won’t do it again, lol.

Good luck Alex. Where is the show?
Kova- Do you try to ‘hold’ your condition for the time between close shows, or do you relax a bit, then retighten things up?
Joe- Great aspirations, but you need to check the stats of some of the top natural guys. Cordova is considered a monster (middleweight who routinely beats the heavyweights) at 5’9 and 172 lbs. It’s the conditioning that makes it appear deceptive. I’ve recently come to realize this myself, and I know I’m going to have to come in under 185 in order to do anything in a tested show (I haven’t been under 2 bills in years! -lol).
I hope more folks chime in with contest info, I’ve recently caught the bug myself ![]()

The last contest I did I weighed in at 180 and went on stage at 176. In January I weighed 214 and slowly started cutting. I will be happy to go on stage at 180 this year.
