Goals for 2013

A little late but better than never. I think it would be a cool idea for us all to list our main goals for 2013. At the end of the year we can all reply back with how we ended up. It can be anything so long as it is related to bodybuilding, let’s not make this about personal items or things not related to this subforum.

I am requesting that all active T-Nation posters join in and let’s help keep the ‘group’ accountable for what they put down. Just try to keep it a goal that will take a year to accomplish.

I’ll start.

Main goal for 2013 is to hit 7% bodyfat and maintain at or sub 10% for the rest of the year. Secondary goal is to be injury free for a full 12 months.

My goals are:

Get leaner than on my previous cut but at a few pounds heavier. (Cut starts Jan 2014, so I’ll check in march/April 2014)

And, as always, grow some damn calves!! I started some serious calf focused training last September and they’ve gone from 15.5" to 17" so it’s a start! Another 1.5 would be nice though

200lbs at 8%

pretty lofty goal but fuck it. Aim high.

How tall are you?

Current - 6’ 205lbs 15% Bf
Goal - 205 12% Bf

So basically lose about 3% Bf while maintaining current weight.

turn weak points into strong points
turn strong points into stronger points

remain injury-free

Don’t get fat.

Don’t get hurt.

Add a half inch to legs, calves, arms.

Win my class at a local NPC show (Overall would be nice too, one step at a time).

I feel your pain, I wanted SO BADLY to break the 6 foot barrier but never did.

Yeah 200lbs 8% is wicked. It’s proper fitness model territory, not that I have any ambition in that area.

I’m actually probably not as high at 15%, I have good definition in abs, serratus and intercostals. Maybe 12, dunno, still got a ways to go before I’m 8% anyway…

What? You will never feel my pain. Imagine evertime you use a public restroom urinal that your boys are 4 inches closer to ground zero and the splash radius. Then, only then will you understand.

haha! You’re right, I don’t feel your pain. I do, however, sympathise

Too much to ask for 10Lbs of LBM this year? With no appreciable fat gain?

unassisted? very likely…

Stop being a weak-ass piece of shit and regain the mass I lost over the last 24 months.

I injured myself in the gym two years ago and haven’t been myself since. LBM has dropped by at least 20lbs on my 5’ 9’’ frame. I can blame anything I want to other than myself, but the end result is me looking like crap and getting more depressed by the day. I keep telling myself “It’ll be easy, you have muscle memory from the glory days” and before I know it, I’ve postponed any meaningful lifestyle changes once again.

I need to stop reading the internet, get real with myself, and stop playing games. Staying where I am now is depressing.

get to 10% body-fat @ 200 lbs by June 1st

currently 13.6% @ 204

12-15 LBM. slow and steady.

Remember to hit my weak points: Calves, Arms

Hit legs with higher intensity.

Get ready for a potential 2014 show by adding about 10 pounds of quality lean mass.

And like Myosin said, don’t get hurt, train smart when I start to feel dinged up.
