My most ‘motivating movie’ has got to be The 6th Day, with Arnold. Two reasons #1, he’s OLD looking in it. It helped me to realize that even the Oak will get wrinkly and old, so, some day, I have hopes of being better built than he is. #2 reason is that, after seeing that movie, I no longer fear death… I can do squats until they KILL me, then, I’ll just have the gym owner clone me before I go on to the next set.
Of course, there is the “Body For Life Success Stories 2” video, which is pretty darned motivating… okay, I’m kidding, okay… just a joke.
Serious answer this time: Gladiator, gotsta be. Very T-filled movie, makes me want to train hard and be a better man.
BODY OF WORK …hahahaHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA, oh man, (wipes tear from his eye)
Yeah, those are all great movies but my favorite football T-movie would be “The Program.” Gets me fired up! Now some movies are motivating, but then with in some movies there are parts that get you geeked and pumped up so here it is…the ultimate…get motivated…get fired up…throw the pillows of you couches…do pushups on the floor while the scene is playing…Rocky 4 , Stallone training old school in the Russian barn, no mirrors, no machines, rocks wagon carts his only weights, and torches for light. That is a damn good scene.
Braveheart and Heat!
rocky 4 is good. as is the program. I however vote for Blood and Guts, Dorians video
anything with Jenna Jameson ![]()
Hey guys are you forgetting Pumping Iron. Hands down.
Rudy…Rudy…Rudy…Rudy…Rudy…Rudy…Rudy
the program, especially with the welcome to the jungle montage, and when lattimer is military pressing all of that weight, rocky 3, any seen with mr. t., and when rocky finally gets his ass in gear, predator-it has arnold and a jacked cast, and for a tv show, the a-team, plenty of ass kicking’s guys getting thrown a 100 yards, cigar smoke, and manly smart ass humor, “i love it when a plan comes together”, there is the ultimate testosterone show
Conan. Either movie, even though the second one was from a book written by Robert Jordan, my second favorite Conan writer. Bloodsport is pretty damn good too.
does anyone thing lattimer looks like a girl?
rudy is for pussies. blood and guts is as hardcore as it gets.
The movie Bloodsport with Jean-claude Van Damm or however you spell that dudes name! That movie get want to work out & train & do the splits, which I can do, thank you very much.
scarface! full of so much T, makes u wanna go to the gym and smack a newbie with a 45. lb plate. lol . “I bury u fucking cockroaches”
C’mon, you all know the rip cord gets pulled by : Conan the Barbarian and Army of Darkness. One man and one man only stands for justice. The Fist full and the Josey Wales movies are good for a slower build up.
Army of Darkness! HA! God, I love that movie! Bruce Campbell, he’s got alot of T, methinks. His book just came out this week, it’s titled “If Chins Could Kill: Confessions of a B Movie Actor”. He’s doing a reading of it here in Portland, Or tonight, I wanna go. Sorry that was off topic, and all, but I stand by my first pick… Gladiator “On my signal, unleash hell.”
THE JERICHO MILE with peter Strauss . . trust me.
Also the 13th WARRIOR . . all the Vikings looked like Strongman show entrants. Liked Asbjorn Riis . .look him up on the web- Finland’s version of Hulk Hogan
“Thin Red Line” and “Fight Club”
Has to be BLOOD & GUTS…with a bit of Pumping Iron thrown in (“Ahnuld!Ahnuld!”) Also, some of the ultimate fighting vids with Coleman/Kerr/Randleman - thats functional muscle, people…!
Good call BigRob, Rudy is a great flick. Little “five-foot nothin’, a hundred and nothin’” fucker trying his best to kick some ass. I love the end when he sacks the quarterback.
