For me: the most motivating movie

Gladiator.

Hey Steve,
Good one buddy. Figures you’d chime in and make fun of a thread without actually contributing. Why not go to an old folks home to spread that sunshine.

Anyone of Arnold`s bad ass flicks…you know Terminator, T2, Commando etc.

actually you dumbfuck I was one of the first few to contribute. I said the program was good, and I highly voted for the program. I consider “Rudy” to be a feel good movie, while I consider “Blood and Guts” to be of a more harecore nature.

Whoa… Steve, no need for such slander. Besides, the post was for inspirational movies not hardcore. Just givin’ you da gears so to speak. No offence meant. I’ll be more sensitive to your feelings next time.

Though probably unheard of in America, the ultimate T-Movie (in my honest opinion) is ‘The Long Good Friday’. Scarface is the only alternative.

I have to say Titanic is my favorite. Leonardo DeCaprio just makes me SO hot! just look at that lean little body!!!

GAG

Conan, Terminator and T2 just make me hot, sorry, but I like my men big and beefy. Army of Darkness was really weird, but good in its own odd way. for motivation though, I have to say I found ‘remember the titans’ extremely powerful. those high school kids gave everything they had and worked past incredible personal barriers to become more than the sum of their parts… (and coming from me that’s high praise, 'cause i hate football.)

Three words “Over The Top” Sylvester Stallone’s finest work. A wonderful tale of the bond between a truck driver/armwrestler father(Sly) and a prep school graduate/egocentric son(some effeminine child actor). Full of crazy antics, nutty schemes and lots of wholesome male bonding. Sly learns the value of brains, the fruity kid begins to understand the advantages of brawn and a bheautiful relationship blossoms. I won’t give away the ending, but I will tell you that it involves a championship a brand new rig and a heartless grandfather seeking custody. Now, I don’t no when this movie was released, or what the critics thought, but in my opinion, there is a little man named Oscar somewhere in this deliciously poignant films future

THE PROGRAM!!! Nuff Said…

Rocky IV all the way

The speech at the begining of the last game in Any Given Sunday gets me all tuned up.

I’m not exactly sure if this counts as a movie but watching the Psycho Sid highlights on the home video of Wrestlemania 8 is with out a question the most motivating thing I have ever seen.

My favorite sports movie is about the pursuit of excellence, standing up for what you believe in, and training for competition. Its even better that is a true story (it also won 7 academy awards).

The scene where Liddel gets knocked off the track on the first turn of the 400m is an unbelievable display of raw willpower.

The plot is a bit more sophisticated than your average blood & guts or sports movie so keep that in mind when you watch Chariots of Fire.

Without Limits is pretty good.
