Elbow Injury from Heavy Dips?

Ok, so i was doing some dips with heavy weight several days ago. Since then i have noticed a sore to the touch lump on the back upper arm portion just above my elbow. I am wondering what this could be and was hoping the forums experience could hook me up with an answer…

Anybody?

Could be muscle adhesions. A picture would benefit. If you apply pressure for a few seconds, does the pain diminish/does the bump begin to melt away? Perhaps you should perform some gentle rubs or self myofascial release upon it to release the tension. This worked excellently for my forearms when I was playing guitar 5+ hours a day. Also worked great on my glutes and hips when I was running more.

I have gotten shit like that all over my body. You should purchase a foam roller and steamroll your whole triceps. Another excellent thing to do, in my opinion. Good luck friend.

I’ll try some of that definitely. I don’t know, i just noticed it when leaning on my elbow…

Certainly not radiating pain or anything just swollen, warm, and sore when touched…

Try applying direct and constant pressure for 20 seconds. Does the pain diminish by about half, and does the lump shrink in size/density? Gently rubbing it really should help.

It’s not so much a pain as a soreness when touched. But when you do press down on it, it feels as though there is a horizontal like “line” in the lump… Kinda weird.

Again, i don’t experience any major pain, just noticed it when i leaned on something, it was sore, like a bruise kinda…

I will start tonight like massaging it out…

Only continue the massaging if the pain actually decreases. If you press on it for 20-30 seconds straight and the pain DOES NOT decrease, I am probably wrong.

Could be a bruise or bug bite that is unrelated to your dips. Trying icing it for 20 minutes that will help, if its a bite or a bruise or some other kind of injury.
