Egg Protien

Can anyone tell me the protien content of an grade A large egg WHITE? I have heard as high as 5 grams and as low as 2. According to the package they have six grams total. How much of that is in the yolk/white?

The yolk contains half of the protein of a whole egg - the white contains the other half.

It’s about half and half.

The white has 5 gms, the yolk 1.

An extra large GradeAA egg white yields 2.2 to 2.5 grams of the most bioavailable protein you can ingest, with no fat whatsoever.

Cheers…

First off its about 1/2 and 1/2. Big Red is WAY OFF. Why dont you get off your ass and do the research.

Ed, I needed your verbal slap; during a cursory search, I found between 2.5 and 4 gms. So, I guess I have egg on my face. A PER of 3.9 too…
