Just a Quickie....

Just a quickie gang.

Just exactally how good are eggs, interms of Protien etc. I know they contain a lot, and i usually eat 3 a day (3 whites and 1 yolk)

But can anyone actually tell me the protien/carbs/fat/cal in an egg with and without it`s Joke, and would i be better slurping down an extra protien shake a day (50g Whey protien) instead of the 3 eggs
? (oh, and i am trying to bulk atm)

Cheers

Paul

Eggs are a great source of protein, but you are going to have to eat more than 3 egg whites and 1 yolk.

egg white = 3-4g protein, 12-16 calories

whole egg = 6-7g pro, 1g carb, 4.5g fat, 70 calories

Whether you should eat eggs or a whey protein shake depends. I would strive to get in a variety of protein sources throughout the day. So if you are eating a lot of whey, I would go with the egss (just eat more of them).

As a side note, you can buy omega or golden eggs and there is an increased quantity of omega-3 fatty acids in the yolk and less saturated fat. In general, I think this is the best choice for whole egss. I usually buy 2-3 cartons of regular eggs (for egg whites) and 1-2 cartons of golden eggs (for whole egg use).

Eggs and milk are God’s gift to make us strong. If you are trying to bulk you should eat 4 eggs AND the shake.

Eggs are the protien source of the gods. I am sitting in front of the computer eating eggs right now actually. I eat 8 whole eggs a day when bulking. along with about a gallon of milk a day (skim). that is a shitload of protien.

I have six eggs whites and a whole egg, plus a bowl of oatmeal with flax oil and 1% milk every morning for breakfast. You need to do 6 egg whites— and actually it’s more like 6 grams of protein per egg white, especially if you buy liquid egg whites. Still, I notice actual positive effects from that one egg… I think I’ve actually gone from 3% to a little under 3% with the edition of the 1 whole egg … it probably has something to do with the choline, cholesterol, and fat in the yolk optimizing some hormonal things.

In a real egg where you discard the yolk, there is only 3-4g of protein, but with the liquid egg white stuff, it is all egg whites. A serving of liquid egg white is the same quantity as one egg. This is for cooking purposes and substitutions. So, yes, when you use a liquid egg white product, there is 6g of protein per serving, but there is only 3-4g of protein if using the egg white of one egg.

Yep

Uh,labels?!
