Dealing With Mental Game

My current goal is to get stronger alot stronger, I have been eatimg at a calorie deficit for so long and worrying about trying to get that typical beach body that now eating at a calorie surplus has messed with my head. Has anyone experienced this if so how did you overcome it?

If you have already successfully lost fat in the past, what makes you think you can’t do it again after a period of weight gain?

Not so much a mental guide, but you could take a photo or two every… 2 weeks or so, in the exact same room/lighting/angles, and just keep a visual eye on it, and if you see your body going to a place you don’t want it, you can easily adjust.

If you decide your emotions (freaking out at fat gain) are less important than your long term goals (being bigger) then the results should follow.

You can gain lots of muscle without getting fat. Train hard, do conditioning, and eat for performance (eat lots of good food to recover). If you’re training for looks (maybe to get girls or something?) remember that the vast majority of them would rather a guy be big and powerful looking. They want him to look like he could protect them or pick them up and put them against the wall. Literally nobody gives a shit about your abs other than you, and abs aren’t impressive unless you’re big and muscular anyway.

Slowly increase your food intake. Relax. You’ll lose some definition, you’ll add a little chub, but you’ll add more muscle.
