When where you in Sverige and for how long?

btw: Do you speak swedish?
2008, for a couple of months. My band recorded our album in Gothenberg with Fredrik Nordstrom (Studio Fredman) which is why we were there.

I’m actually part German, not Swedish lol so no Swedish for me, just Deutsch =D
Okay, didnt know you where playing in a band. Is it a metal band?

I had deutsch in school, but I never learned it properly. I wish I could.

Son of a gun I thought I responded to this

You can hear some of the stuff here bro Beyond Shadows | Listen and Stream Free Music, Albums, New Releases, Photos, Videos or Beyond Shadows
its melodic death metal

I’m not sure how far apart Deutsch is to Norwegian =/
Okay that took some time LOL

I will check your band out even though I am no metal head

Norwegian and deutsch are close on paper, but as a norwegian I cant just talk or understand deutsch without being thaugt it. In my case being thaugt it did not help haha.

Much better thread name :stuck_out_tongue:

I agree, good music is good music regardless of genre.

Hey, just curious. What do your warm-ups usually consist of/how long are they? N’ talking of good music check out a band called Pretty Lights.

Well it varies, but its often something like this:

threadmill: 2-5 mins.
10-20 jumping jacks.
10 bw squat.
10 bw lunges backwards.
a stretch for the hip flexors.
a stretch for the hamstrings.

sometimes I do less( but often have to pay for it ) and sometimes I do more.

ps. I will check out pretty lights.

comment:
Happy about 8x70kg in bench, but I didnt feel like doing much more after that, so i skipped sit ups and back raises.

Awesome benching dude! Sometimes when you hit a decent PR it’s best to end the session on a high note like that.

thanks man  and I know dave tate have been talking about getting out of the gym after a mayor PR. In my case I felt done after the bench, but did rows to balance it out and then I got the fuck out haha…

thanks man

I am going to go easy on the last set on deads next cycle and focus on form, I dont want a back injury and if I keep pushing out ugly reps then it is more likely to happen.

Something I’ve been doing that really improves my form is trying to look higher up on the wall and getting/keeping my chest up

Awesome to check in and see PRs all over your log!

Nice work in particular on the bench one, as the bench is a bastard to get moving sometimes. And I agree about a bench PR crushing you… I usually feel like my heart is going to explode on the final rep haha.

Do you think these great recent results are due to more regular training and better diet?

Out of interest, what was your body weight at the start of the year and now?

If you ever can, post a deadlift video for a form check. Not doubting your form of course, but it’s always good to get pointers. I know when I had form issues the comments on this forum REALLY helped me fix it and skyrocketed my numbers.

keep up the strong work!!

gaynez!

gaynez errywar!!!

Thanks

I feel that bench is actually is the easiest to progress on, squat and press are the ones that are the bastards the get moving for me

But yhea a rep PR in bench can be brutal, I could beraly talk right after the last one haha.

I guess it must be that I have been able to be somewhat consisten the entire semester, but I think I also are living on the work I did before christmass, I where close to the weights and reps I am doing now right before christmass. If I had been able to stay consisten in the christmass vacation I might have been lifting heavier weights now.

When I got back to Bergen after christmass I had dropped down to 60kg, but now I dont now becuase I dont have a scale. I get the chance to weigh myself when I get home for the summer, I hope I am atleast 65kg.

I`l try to get my girlfriend to join me to the gym sometime to film me, but I cant promise anything and I dont even know if it one are allowed to film in the gym.

Thanks man, I`l do my best

sorry for the late reply btw, but have been working alot latley.
