CrossFit Dumbbell(s) Challenge

  Cross-fit dumbbell(s) Challenge

This is the Cross-fit dumbbell(s) Challenge
Only using dumbbells
Now I am doing 1/3 = 33% of my body weight in each dumbbell.
For my safety I have a Gold Gym??s mat. I have stacked it with 2 layers.

Please be careful, do not expect to be fatigued. All of these exercises use most of your body. So to remind everyone just be aware Safety First. Oh and do not necessarily think of this as a Warm-Up or even a Workout. This is just my test I created. It is also a Goal that I have been working on since December 26th.

One tip before you try this: When I started with this Weight, I could barely lift this up. Now I am almost at these Goals. Anything is possible, just knowing not to over-work or forget about safety. Please remember this is just a Test for me and everyone is welcomed to try this.

One Legged Dead-lift 25 repetitions in 1 minute
One Armed Thrusters 50 repetitions in 1 minute 30 seconds
One Arm Snatches 25 repetitions in 2 minutes
One Arm Jerks 25 repetitions in 2 minutes
One Arm High Pulls 25 repetitions in 1 minute 30 seconds

Good Luck!!

I like this, perhaps I’ll do this on Thursday. I was looking for something to do this morning and I settled on a variation of teh filthy fifty. This is closer to what I was looking for. I don’t think I’ll start with 70# though.

Thanks for even Replying!! i guess since i am only 16 years old, people either think i am too immature to post, or that my ideas/plans or horrible. At least someone replied. thanks Stuward!!

Just out of curiosity, why are you posting your crossfit goals on T-Nation?

Cross-Fit Goals? What are you talking about?

Didnt you say crossfit dumbbells challenge?

Oh, see these exercises work an array of body groups, also works them in a different condition. When i do them i can tell that i am using a lot of weight, which can create mass. i also realize while doing it my heart rate sky rockets, so it is great conditioning and great way to improve your strength. i think i could call it Cross-Fit.

If I’m reading this correctly, at my current bodyweight I should be doing 1-arm snatches with a 70 lb dumbbell! That’s pretty damn strong. I’d likely throw my entire arm across the room, ripped clean from my body, if I attempted that trick. Apparently I have much work to do in the strength department.

Yeah, i also put though that, like any weight you have to adjust to it Sabastian. when i first bought those weights i could barely pick them up man. So i practiced. Whether it was just lifting it and dropping it down. i kept working up to it, finally i was able to get it up to my chest, from then i was able to do the Snatches. It took me about 7 days to do 1 arm jerk, and now i can do 20.
