Brute's Book

T bar walks today after five weeks of winter weather conditions preventing them. I was actually dredding it since its been so long and its still quite cold out, but after a few minutes I started to feel the rush of endorphins I get with even light carries and the smile burst outta my face. :wink:

T bar walks 225# circle the field ( about 1/4 a mile around I’d guess) . Feels good! Grip was off, and I had many stops but it’ll come back.

Yesterday’s push up total 250

250 push-ups, wow! Getting outside and doing some carries had feel great. I hope it will not stay this cold for much longer.

Just thinking about Brute and Bro’s the other day…sorta.

I get H.S. ‘little bros’, at the Rec Center, after 2pm weekdays. Nice enough, stay out of the way, for the most part. They travel in groups of 3-5; common among the species I’ve read. We do have a few young ladies/athletes who lift, usually alone; H.S. or early college age I’m guessing. Quite impressive. Anyway, Lil’ bros are scared of them, the way Big Bro’s are scared of you…pretty funny to me.

pull ups - a bit of a mess 7, 8, 8, 8, 8, 7, 5, 6…etc for some weird number. I am going to divide my pull ups up through out the week and give them more respect- bigger sets.

.A big volume day will be in there for sure but mix it up. I wish I had more space on my pull up bar at home to widen my grip, so perhaps I’ll get wider grip ones at the gym done.

Today’s push up total 260. Most sets of 15-16 BUT I got a set of 20 in too! That’s a rep pr for me. :D!!!

UH GOD> I am proud I did this today and managed to walk Mossimo. I scored an upper respiratory.laryngitis cough thing that’s made it around both jobs. My voice sounds like I’m being smothered by pillows, or thrown down a well, unpredictable coughing fits, you know the deal.

19 total sets of 15, a set of 10 push ups. The last ten push up sets I did ss pull ups of 2-3 reps after instead of before. Pull up total 91, push ups 295.

The sets are hard on my days off because I get them done streight away. I prefer completing all tasks in the morning, then hanging out all day after on days off work.

This was tough and took me a while to finish resting about 5 minutes between sets. Breaking them down into bigger sets over time would probably be better but I don’t do stuff like that, its get it done and get going.

Doubling up on the top single pulling is strong. Between that and the other two sets over 300 that’s a lot of heavy work. What do you think your max pull would be now?

Thanks DBasler!! Oh…I dunno…I feel my max dead lift now is between 350 or 360. I’ d guess…but man it’d be nice to get more! Most I’ve ever done was 360 at a bit of a higher bw. I’d LOVE 361 :wink: !!!

I have noticed better front squats from the push ups. Definitely! Its very encouraging and a full on incentive to keep them up. I do need more variation in upper body lifts, so this experinent is working out well so far.

Tried to do cardio today but had a strange gut flare up. I went away after some pepto bismol and a short rest in the fetal position in bed… A sign not to do the cardio so whatev. Did day off chores of laundry mat, folding laundry, groceries, Costco.

Today I did push ups then later pull ups in lil mini sets ss with the remainder of my push ups. I did manage a set of 21 push ups which is a pr for single set rep number.

The last few days have been interesting. I got sick Monday night bad, vomiting and fever. Could have been caused by a few things but no real culprit. So the last two days I have only been able to walk upright. Today I was able to walk Moss on our longer walk but I had to stop several times holding my gut or walk bent over as the stomach pain ebbed and flowed.

Then I deiced to give my two weeks notice to my second job. No joke, right after I texted a friend saying such my stomach pain stopped. Fuck you job number 2! You are not giving me an ulcer!

So here in two weeks its over and boy is it time. It’ll be tough financially, but life is too short to be really unhappy every week for the safe of some money. I’ll FUCKING make do!! :D!!
I’ll eat potatoes.

I’ve noticed my bum is …where is it :{ ? I need to pump it up, got a bit small here over the winter?? I think its the lack of carries. Its a super nice day out today but I’m not pushing my luck yet for my system. I’ll get the carries in when I"m ready. I’m living in a bit of an altered reality that I can recognize as being stress and illness or hormones so I am aware my perceptions are off kilter. It’ll pass.

Deadlifting twice in on day and working up to 90% each time as well as over 350 pushups with some pull ups thrown in for good measure is quite impressive. Even more feeling less than 100%
