I didn’t expect much for today and am happy I got at least THIS in. I worked a few wild shifts the last two shifts. EXHAUSTING. I feel dry but puffy at the same time! Just from night time stuff.
Its beneficial for my mental state to get away from the day shift downer personality types I work with but hard on my skin and body doing the nights! HA! A trade off. Someone got fired…someone got hired…someone is angry at some else…ugh. I like to punch in punch out! Don’t drag me into your beef that is over nothing worthwhile especially when I am not on the clock! I do not care!
These last two shifts had some tough caseloads where I was running around with my head cut off so they flew by, then I’d get home and feel the exhaustion but at least I was home!
I might have to amend training this week. I have an odd sternum injury from hauling an obese lab …! We’ll see how it goes but it might mean a few changes in things.

Impressive front squatting!
It’s weird, but I can deadlift with shitty form and my back laughs at it; I hold half my deadlift weight in a front squat position, and my back is like…whoa! I’m a special snowflake!
Whenever I have to move heavy stuff, I’m grateful for two exercises -the (heavyish) barbell curl, and the cable fly with a squeeze hold (think moving a heavyass mattress lol). A strong grip is much needed also, but I think you have that covered!
Thanks punnyguy! I am complete opposite–front squatting gives me lots of room for imperfect form that won’t ruin my back, deadlifitng even slightly bad is a huge risk for me to destroy my spine. And yes-- Everyday is train grip day!!

Here’s some videos. I learned about the bear hug carries this week and instantly couldn’t wait to add them in. They are tough! A lot of it is compression on your chest which is a mind game for your breathing. Here’s the 100 squashy ball and then the keg.
And then the rig with 425#. I used two 100# plates to start with on it so that’s how the wt is what it is.
