I think a vast majority of the population do not go to the gym- and have no idea the benefits they are missing out on, or being denied flat out by the govenor. The people who are regulars to gyms to are likely more health conscious then the general public even it TINY amount more health conscious its still more.

The Corona Cops who are also suddenly experts on health and safety are ready to attack you though… I have to stay off the Governor facebook page because the comments by to anyone asking “when are you opening the gyms?” are full of people ready to attack you for being so selfish.

The Governor also has resorted to meme’s …UGH!!

Malibu walk! :D!

I don’t have anything I can use to do facepulls with a band in my apartment. No solid structure that won’t move on me- I’ve tried! Squat rack just slides on into me, the loading platform is the same. So today felt nice that I used a post in the field to do some.

Unpopular truth for me…high squats active my legs WAY more. I think my personal zone where I feel my actual muscles work in my legs is way above parallel. WAY!!! My fs today you can tell when I am fatiguing during a set- its when I drop down lower on the descent.

The pumpy high ones are when I am fresh… food for though, or not? I don’t how much I care anymore about how high or low my squats are- I acknowledge that I do care some, enough to film them to check out of course, I also film to keep track of my knees. They FEEL like I am working them- Yeah, they do! High and fast I feel the burn and my legs do look better these days.

Yesterday I was BORED CITY. This rarely happens-even though it happened last saturday!!–when I just sit and watch youtube all day which is exactly what I did. I tried to read a book online and it was boring as all get out.

Restoration Man episodes on youtube on after the next! I tried to be productive and I did do some push ups in about 30 mins of “Get up Lazy! There MUST be something you can do!” theme.

Malibu of course helps since we can do tricks and also just her calming, beautiful presence near by is a godsend. ALSO she has started to let me brush her teeth! She too has shown me she appreciated pec messages :)!!! Her pecs kick butt, way better then mine will ever be!

Today I actually have appointments super far away so there will be a ton of driving. The BB gym I used to go to send out a post about sending emails to the Governor and to the local rep for a end to the gym ban, asking for emails to help support their cause which I did.

Another Strongman/BB gym in Aurora I went to a few times years ago posted that they have tentative plans to open to the public- not just for personal training- June 1st. But they have posted this before and then had to apologize when they were given the wrong info! NO INFO is out at all for the gyms!

Its frustrating! At the press conference yesterday the Governor was asked “any time frame for gyms opening up? And what are the plans?”. He just replied that there are gyms open for already for personal training. DUDE! I don’t have $70/hour to give to a trainer for one on one training!! UGH. So clueless.

I bet 24 Hour Fitness waits until the entire state is good to go for gyms since the locations in the counties that have the full ok to open up are still closed. BLEH.

I really did not think this would last this long! COME ON!

The gyms are open here but I have not gone. The little one I go to bought some new equipment so I am curious but I am mad at the guy who owns it, for something he said at his other store in town. Small town problems Lol

HA! Oh I get that! I too have chosen not to work out someplace where I can’t stand the owner!! Even now I’m not that desperate! …what did he say though ? :D!!!

He owns the meat market in town too. Durning the height of the pandemic I bought some ground beef for $25 a package. 7 days later I went back to get more and asked his son in law if those packages were still $25. He said, sure, he didn’t know why they wouldn’t be. When they brought them out, the price jumped to $40 a piece. I asked if that was right because Trevor had said they were still $25. Well, Brian got snippy with me and told me he could not sell it under his costs, that his suppliers went up. I said okay, I just can’t drop that much money at one time on ground beef and that’s why I asked before anybody went to the trouble of bringing them out. Then he proceeded to tell me if I didn’t like it that I could try the other grocery store in town. Instantly pissed me off! All this was weeks before the processing plants started closing because of the virus, and the price truly went up.

He has done other things that I don’t agree with but it’s his business and he is successful so I guess it works for him.

Bad part is… he is the only store in town with decent meat. The other store is awful, like but a chicken and get home and it’s spoilt before youbopen the wrapper.

I think this whole situation has actually hit me- and I have become a bit stir crazy! My way of expressing this is WAY too much youtube. WAY TOO MUCH!

I have been working out and I have not been out. I know I am not alone this is not a pity post, its just an acknowledgement. My daily schedule is the same really…workout, work, etc. As much as a home girl that I am the brief 1-2 hours 4-5 times a week of NOT being my apartment is important to my de-fragmenting of stress. Silly of me to think otherwise!
God knows I am luckier then a vast majority of people though.

I work 40 hours a week thank God so I am out of the house then, I get outside with my Wonderful Bu-Berry Malibu girl an hour a day at least, yet that lil out of the house gym time is gone that I’ve ( I know you all can relate!) had as a part of my life for …Man, at least 15 years.

I’d be a fool to think would NOT effect me and the blahs have finally! The result is I have exercise equipment to use and I have cabin fever!

Anywho. I’ll give myself a bit of a break…kinda, what else can I do really? :D!. Luckily I have a great lifter buddy is in the know and I am going to check out a gym today that is close, 24 hr key code, open- OK! OPEN!

Novikov did the dumbbell no sweat this week which was cool-- BUT! Not as exciting as next week with Rhianan Lovelace and the women’s atlas stone record–I am looking forward to seeing that!

MALIBU WALK!

I could have easily gotten lost in the lifting today and done another hour at the gym. Its SO NICE to be back at a gym!!..BUT! I am have a BuBerry Girl at home! I’ll save my endless gym time for the sad parts of my life maybe in the future whe/if I may not have a dog and am lonely and have no reason to not be selfish and indulge…Lucky for me I have a baby to love and someone to take care of. LOOK AT THAT BUTT!!!

Lifting notes: I went down low, below parallel for those fronties and with control. THEY WERE HARD! The underground gym has a rack right in front of a mirror which is great for me to keep track of my form and my depth. Knees I have to watch so they stay OUT, and now I wanted to see my depth for control.

Its been a very long time since I’ve been able to clearly see my fs form - up close- and in real time to correct myself as I’m doing them! 24 hour has a mirror but its a bit further away and I have quite wild vision. Believe it or not, it makes a difference a few feet hear and there for me to be able to FOCUS.

Side note I went to the eye dr last week. They did the vision test etc however this time she asked which is the last line I could read without squinting. UHHH…HA! I have never been told that clarifying direction before, without squinting???

I read the line I could confidently read without squinting and low and behold…um…I need to squint or I’m going to struggle to pass the drivers visions test next time. 20/60 with correction is not legal which is what she told me so I tried harder!

Back to my old ways then :D!! I’ll continue instead to “read” whatever line I can muster and throw out my best guess, whether the line looks like its in Polish or not. Don’t worry, I don’t drive much and if I do I avoid the freeway and speeds higher then 40mph.

MALIBU WALK!!

Feels great! I did also try a few machines. Leg extensions which instantly did nothing but piss off all my knee joints/ligaments and rep # 2 was the last. Those machines NEVER feel good for me, but I had to try.

I did lying leg curls wooooo, which again don’t feel that great. I might be setting the machine up wrong or its just my body lengths. The empty hack squat felt awful too, on my knees and for sure a giant no no on my back.

Well, its good to try! Once a year or so to see if my sleeping dragon left lumbar disc type injury will allow things like leg press etc–The answer still is NO. For sure leg extensions have always been pointless or painful for my legs.

FINALLY The governor set up some gym guidelines yesterday. I bet 2 hour still won’t open up. If they have a no reservation policy, then I am going to join good ol planet fitness at $10/month for the cardio. The hours are the same–not great for me- but at least it’d be no reservation.

This is all so stupid! BUT!!! I have an underground gym now :wink:

2623 feet 131 average 131fpm 13 inches-> I moved up the foot pedals. I thought the lower the setting the longer the stroke/step I could get, but its the opposite!

The last three days out of the blue I’ve felt like a total blob. Not sure why since in theory I should be feeling super fresh and perky about my appearance due to my hormones.

I pay attention to that- when I am fertile- not due to worrying about getting pregnant thank GOD but how my hormones effect my thoughts! One plus is I usually feel pretty good about myself yet there are other sides to that too!

In the past almost like clockwork I’ve made dumb choices towards people based on my fertile window! Typically for me when I’m fertile I feel especially kind and forgiving to punks who don’t deserve it! I’ll start thinking nice things about them and think, well what if…then I check my period tracker and I see I’m right dab in the middle of fertile-Mertile land!!!

Anywho! Today at Underground gym I took a picture to see what the damage was from around 10 weeks of my home workouts were…and this is it. Good lighting and a good tank top too!

I’m still pretty excited my lil back muscles are there :)! I know they could go away at any time so I can’t get attached but its nice to see them!

So after that I feel better. My wt is 165.8. My legs are looking better. I have some love handles and lower back flub that I’ve decided I don’t mind that much. My arms of course need work yet I’ve never really been to worked up over my arms.

I’m not as strong as I used to be and I don’t really care about that either-- I do feel great! A bit stiff here and there but over all I feel good.

I’m battling my obsessions/compulsive stuff centered around training a whole lot better these days. The lack of gym of course has made me even more aware how much I like being active for the sake of activity.

I’ve certainly become enslaved in the past (still have a few shackles on me today but they are less) to a few things and obsessed with draining myself to prove my self to myself etc… being active is one area that has been good to me and not beaten me down but energized instead. I;m very ready to get back on that step-mill wherever it is… :wink:
