That’s it! My hair is changing…I am becoming an Elder Redhead! No big deal I thought…until my eyebrows that are already corn silk blonde have started to turn a strange shade of blonde/green/wild color?

Also about an inch or more of the roots on the crown of my head are shading out to blonde/faded strange Elder redhead color, sides at the front for sure have real white that you can’t see much since its shaved…and it really has only happened in the last 6 months. I’m 38 so its about time. I’m cracking my knuckles and am going back to the drawing board to readdress my look a bit! I do NOT like being blonde even its it only the wee bits up front.

I found $40 used, in working shape WILDLY HIDEOUS Olympic lifting shoes! They fit so they work! I tried them after I finished on some bar only and 95# fs- I think they will make a difference. I wore them home after the gym and also felt them in my butt- I never wear any type of heel so this was a new feeling. Butt and hammy feeling.

MY GOD are they ugly! OH MAN ! I have trouble not staring at them in the mirror in front of the squat racks cringing! They are total clown shoes! Could be worse! I did not pay full price! I might get some designer duct tape out and camouflage them a bit.

I have a ton of stuff to do this weekend. First being getting Malibu her wellness exam and heart work check at my job! Hopefully there will be no rectal temperature taking and no bites! She gets so nervous her paws sweat !

Hideous lifting shoes for the win! At least you can see if you like them and if you think they are making a difference you can justify spending more money on a pretty pair.

They have some nice duct tape nowadays :rofl:

I’m sure they are to someone’s taste just not mine! Why are they all so crazy looking? The only lifters I have seen that I have liked the looks of are Do-Wins and they are a pretty penny! All the others are WILD!

Yesterday after Malibu’s dr’s appointment she was pooped. This girl owns my heart! So far her blood work looks good so hopefully we can get those teeth cleaned. Her breath is super stinky, however she is very beautiful and the Best Girl Ever!

I noticed my down stairs neighbors where gone when we got home so that means prime inside apartment barefoot sandbag loading for me!

Did 30 total loads with my 150 bag which takes much longer since I unload it onto my crash pads, then unload the crash pads etc.

The sandbag contents have shrunk so who knows the actual wt, I’m still saying 150 because I don’t care. I will top off the bag today! I filled it with frozen sand that was wet, now its dry after a few months and now the bag looks like its not full!

After that I went to the field and did a very quick sand bag carry - no idea how far, I’d guess 300-500 feet with my 100# bag. MAN am I outta shape on that! Erectors on fire which is exactly what I need to work more.That’s what happens when you don’t do carries for 5 months or so.

In a way that outta shape action actually appeals to my frugal, economic mind. In a way, being less strong means you require less wt to get that burn! In a way, its a savings on equipment- and the storage of said equipment!

I am choosing to see it that way! I am pretty sure my pr days are over, which is not as distressing as I once thought it’d be. I did my time! I DO still have many other mental PR’s I can achieve. Now its all about feeling good, energetic, and getting results that are not life long injuries, or wearing myself down to the CNS drain to quell inner strife.

ALSO! Those ugly wild lifters WORK GREAT! VERY solid! I did not realize how much I’d appreciate that anchoring feeling they give my heels. Its very nice! They also make my butt and hammies get more involved in fs. Worth the $40 so far.

I used them on everything today and they felt great except for the lunges which made my knees a bit frightened. I think I’ll use my sambas for those in the future.

Wow! Those are some seriously blue shoes. When I was looking for mine I kept thinking… Why are they so ugly?

I looked up the ones jujimufu wears becaise I really like them. Horribly expensive, but did find some on sale that wasn’t out of the question. I just keep checking back hoping for a bragain.

Malibu loves it since now its not as icy and we can give them a lil chase! The kinda laugh at us since they are a million times faster and light years more agile then me holding Malibu on a leash but still trying to let her run a bit.

Cool! This weekend is the Arnold! Thor is my top pick to win and I’ll always cheer for Martins! I hope my favorite strongman ( Mateusz!) is healthy too but not sure how he’ll do. It really doesn’t matter, I like all of the top guys these days and they get my cheer for them regardless.

The only strongman I can’t stand isn’t a heavy wt, its a guy who is super annoying in my eyes and I only know of him because he really wants everyone to know him. Something about him puts me off! But everyone else gets my cheers!

Tried this! I spotted someone doing this online and I had to try. Zercher Cable lunges is what I’d call them . I like them! I did sets of 10/leg then 10 “zercher” squats. tried it with 50#,70, 90, 110.

I have not figured out my new phone yet so I apologize for the strange view. I used my lifter shoes for log pressing today and I am undecided. I get a bit tippy top tip toe with them! And it gives me an unbalance in the rack/top clean however, it does feel better on my butt. I think since I use them on carpet its not the same. Ill try them again next week for log.

Strangely woke up at 9:30 pm last night ! No going back to sleep as hard as I tried so I rolled outta bed at 10 and got going. Which means I need a nap now! I have so much to do this weekend again!

MEH! Nothing bad. I keep having appointments and obligations when I really like doing NOTHING on my weekend let alone stuff that I have to meet at an agreed time for.

I don’t like wasting time and can be a bit overly conscientious and like to get everything done first thing and can’t rest until its done …yet I do end up having to wait for normal people to get up and open their businesses at normal business hours. Normal people… :wink:

I did get some sleep in last night and part of that was waking up about 2 hours later then typical on my day off. Today I woke up feeling refreshed yet when I was getting under the bar warming up I realized the POWAH was not there! One of those jolly “i am weak on power, yet I am also refreshed!” I like those day, mixed body-preparedness day!

It ended up working out great because that later start meant I could get out in the field for carries as the sun had just come up when I was still primed for them right after lifting at the gym. They went MUCH better then last week where I got them in but it was many hours after lifting.

I just love carries! No matter when I get them done, no matter how little or big the wt, CARRIES ALWAYS make me feel so exuberant! I LOVE CARRIES!!!

OH MY! It so pretty out! I am shocked to hear myself say this but I am ready for spring! A bit of warmer mornings and afternoons would be nice. More opportunities to do some outdoor carries too!

I would Iike to say youtube is amazing! AMAZING! There is so much you can can educate yourself on, on your own, for free! I’ve been doing physiology stuff the last month or so as a review from my tech school days that I’m rusty on
UH!-- kids these days have no idea the drag of relying on listening in real time and taking good notes, or trudging through a boring as hell textbook and not having the internet to look up everything. Now you can find on youtube five other examples of lectures by other teachers who can teach you it in a different way that you might actually be able to learn from based on your individual learning abilities. And you can pause it, rewind…ugh! It so cool!

I am not trying to complain at all. I’m grateful that this is a huge boost for everyone! Its astounding what you can do with resources that were not available even 6 or 7 years ago! Free, on your own, in your own time, just so cool. SO COOL!

Its really amazing! And the Arnold is live streamed! :D! I am saving it for when I’m really bored or need that oomph of watching some strongman! I have too many good books going on now and some other misc things I’ve been looking into on my time off that I probably will be behind on the news of who won…that is if I don’t give in and watch today!

OK ! I am watching it! HOLY COW! Thor looks really good, way more athletic looking compared to last years Arnold. He just blew thru the trial by stones! And it almost hit him in the face!

Mateusz almost ran into a camera guy! And his comments after the event ! He’s adorable!

That same lame announcer, form every Arnold is jabbering it up with strange comments that don’t really make sense yet he sure thinks they do and keeps repeating and repeating them! I am not looking forward ot his comments on the women…maybe he’ll be ok. I just have a sinking suspicion he’s a Gary.

OH! The girls are kicking ass too!! WOW! 225# dead lifts x 63 reps in 2 mins! I can relate to that, my best was over done 2 mins and it was 29 or 28, these chicks did TWICE as many!

The announcer who keeps saying wild, dumb things. He commented on Thor’s sandbag throw by saying “He let the dog’s out.”
