Yesterday after Malibu’s dr’s appointment she was pooped. This girl owns my heart! So far her blood work looks good so hopefully we can get those teeth cleaned. Her breath is super stinky, however she is very beautiful and the Best Girl Ever!
I noticed my down stairs neighbors where gone when we got home so that means prime inside apartment barefoot sandbag loading for me!
Did 30 total loads with my 150 bag which takes much longer since I unload it onto my crash pads, then unload the crash pads etc.
The sandbag contents have shrunk so who knows the actual wt, I’m still saying 150 because I don’t care. I will top off the bag today! I filled it with frozen sand that was wet, now its dry after a few months and now the bag looks like its not full!
After that I went to the field and did a very quick sand bag carry - no idea how far, I’d guess 300-500 feet with my 100# bag. MAN am I outta shape on that! Erectors on fire which is exactly what I need to work more.That’s what happens when you don’t do carries for 5 months or so.
In a way that outta shape action actually appeals to my frugal, economic mind. In a way, being less strong means you require less wt to get that burn! In a way, its a savings on equipment- and the storage of said equipment!
I am choosing to see it that way! I am pretty sure my pr days are over, which is not as distressing as I once thought it’d be. I did my time! I DO still have many other mental PR’s I can achieve. Now its all about feeling good, energetic, and getting results that are not life long injuries, or wearing myself down to the CNS drain to quell inner strife.
ALSO! Those ugly wild lifters WORK GREAT! VERY solid! I did not realize how much I’d appreciate that anchoring feeling they give my heels. Its very nice! They also make my butt and hammies get more involved in fs. Worth the $40 so far.
I used them on everything today and they felt great except for the lunges which made my knees a bit frightened. I think I’ll use my sambas for those in the future.
