Wed PM State of origin WOD (one for the aussies or anyone who gives a shit about rugby league)

I called this the spine, and averaged the tackles P/game of each player from last years series to how many selections there were there are, and they were pulled out of a hat. Completed with 3 mates

I was lucky as my player was: Cameron Munster (#6 = 6 reps)

My average tackles P/game was 8 so there was 8 selections
Mine were -

Bear complexs
Hang cleans
Power cleans
T2B
Pull ups
Double unders
HR push ups
Box jumps

90sec rest at end of every set

3 rounds (to go with how many games)

Completed in 15.32

We retired Ben hunt as his average got fucked over by his performance at hooker last year, so we swapped as the spine was now FB, Wing, 5/8 and HB

Almost finished my first block of high rep training, excited to get back into some strength training as im feeling better now after every session and joint pain/doms/me being a little bitch has started to dissapate

Might jump back into deep water, considering some wendler action, but if anyone has a suggestion of something I havent tried, Im happy for suggestions

Base Building or 10/20/Life. Both are pretty similar to how Greg runs things in the important areas.

Not much to update here, but looking and feeling much more centred now that ive been back into training.

Weight staying around the 128/130 mark which im happy with, might drop cals for the next 6 weeks in the lead up to the wedding but the main goal was to keep the fitment of my suit which we bought at the start of the year.

Ill take it as a good sign that the arms and shoulders are feeling tighter and the waist has stayed the same

Have been following deep water for the last 4 weeks and have been doing the CF classes as conditioning to compensate for the carbs ive been eating (abusing)
Got a kick out of a class last week, everyone worked up to a 3rm push press, so I decided it would be a fun idea to strict press 130kg.
Im glad ive got a BW press still, considering it took me a long time to get there, I fathomed after my hiatus id go back to square one.

The next wod, ill upload a pic of the board. I usually burn around 750/1000 cals in 45 mins.

Little wod on Tuesday

Worked up for some squats
3x5 120kg
3x1 160kg
3x10 100kg

3km bike
2km row
1km run

Legs and back were super fatigued, but still got through it in 20mins 08 secs

Legs were right cooked, so logically I decided for back/deads last night

Worked up for 160kg working set for deads, got through an absolute killer pump in my lower back, and I regret these decisions today.
Some active recovery in the hydro pool attached to our gym and will go for another swim and a foam roll tomorrow

Fantastic piece, our session leader has a real knack for programming

Im thinking ill base most of my conditioning work after a core lift now, and keep it along those lines, especially if im limiting my training to be 4 days
At least until I start feeling banged up a bit

I just flat out struggle to do cardio. I’ve improved my ability to endure but I’d rather do three things for 10 min each than one thing for 30 minutes.

Just a lil ol update because Im a lazy fuck who hasnt been putting his training into his log

Been doing plenty of wods, taken up enduro stuff to get some miles back in the legs after that break. I think ive embraced the fact that I enjoy an athletic feel to strongman/crossfit training and to be honest, they both pretty much go hand in hand.

Sunday was a ladder 10/9/8… back to 1/2/3… of-
Power clean - 80kg
Front squat - 60kg (because chicken legs lol)
OHP - 70kg
Trap bar DL - 140kg
Knocked it out in 23min.30secs
Have knocked that time down from 29mins flat 1 month ago

Im getting married this weekend aswell so theres that.
Fuck that came around quick :grimacing:
