Calves!

This thread is dedicated to calves.

I’ve always had shitty little calves that sit high on my shin, but I’ve developed a love affair with calf training - often training them first in a workout, only to find that it sparks a fire in me for the rest of my workout.

Anyway, post some inspirational calf pics and vids.

I’ll start with Michael Lockett!

His calves are bigger than my thighs were just a few months ago. Wow.

ID have you found anything in particular to work for your calves? I’ve tried just about every protocol out there and my calves haven’t grown at all in the last few years even though arms are up about 2.5 inches

Has Meadows posted any articles/tips on calves? I have yet to see any.

I’ve always measured with a straight leg, calf unflexed.

Yeah, bending the leg gives you a slightly larger measurement. I have seen it add an inch or more depending on the size of the person…but there is no doubt his calves are insane.

My calves have improved since wearing those Vibrams more. There is a visible difference that I didn’t get from just training them alone.

Good to hear, Doc.

You have legs like Johnnie Jackson.

I know.

Good thing I think I can get his traps too.

Ben Pakulski,
Erik Fankhouser

Fankhouser is a freak. I don’t think he can wear combat boots because of his legs. They don’t make knee high socks in that size either.

I never thought of that. He’d have to have custom made boots if he enlisted in the military.

I have a friend who doesn’t lift, with naturally enormous legs. He looks funny because his upper body is really thin. He’s 6’ tall but has 14" arms, tiny little narrow shoulders, but his calves are naturally 19 inches with quads to match.
