Hi Coach,
I am right in the middle of the Best Workout Plan, and in a couple of weeks I am scheduled to be out of town for 10 days. Not being familiar with the town, I don’t know if there is a drop in gym, but I have various resistance bands to take with me.
What would you recommend I do with the bands while out of town, and where should I pick back up on the program when I return home?
Thanks in advance for your assistance and time!
Google your destination for gyms. Easy.
I will echo what believer said: simple use Google for find a gym nearby. I travel the world to give seminars and can always find gyms close to where I’ll be staying, often in walking distance. And I’m not even talking about the gyms where I give the seminars, because I prefer not to train there (I already spend tons of time there for the seminar, I want to get out ASAP and don’t want to keep answering quetions during my workout).

If you are staying in a hotel, chances are that you’ll even have equipment there.
Even traveling internationally, you can usually find a gym close by. On vacations to Mexico, I find a gym and just pay or a week’s membership. Conversely, you could use that time to change things up and focus on bodyweight work and mobility. Never a bad idea and no need to worry about “losing gains” in that timeframe.
Damn, you are correct…was very simple! Like the bodyweight/mobility suggestion as well. Thank you all for your suggestions!
If you can’t find a gym, I recommend Beat The Apocalypse program on Thibarmy. Very simple setup based on BW exercises, yet very effective. And my God, is it humbling.
All you need is a set of resistance bands and minimal external weights (bricks, water bottles etc.) to get an intense workout in and make gains in bodycomposition, strength, power and conditioning.
Even though it’s only for 10 days, you can use the program any time when there’s no gym around.
awesome, thanks Lou! I will check that out now. Greatly appreciated!
