gonna be heading to the beach for about a week. i want to do some sort of exercise that will keep me feeling active or atleast keep my body working abit during this vacation but the place i am staying in has no gym or any fitness equipment to use.
any ideas on certain exercises or bodyweight circuits that would give me a quality workout that i can do in the mornings before i head out and enjoy the beach.
personally I would purposely overtrain the couple weeks leading up to the holiday and then use the week for supercompensation. Enjoy the time off, maybe do some walking but nothing strenuous.
This is exactly what I did prior to my honeymoon last week. I did the SUPER ACCUMULATION program prior to heading off, getting into super comp and ate up during the holiday for the first 5 days, until I felt I was adding unwanted lbs…the program is hell on earth and required BIG BALLS, ideally a partner to push you.
Another option, if you don’t have access to a gym during the holiday, wanting to stay active is a bodyweight circuit you could design. Just do a search…PLENTY of shit you could come up with to at least maintain during your trip.
eg. Push Ups
Chins
Bodyweight Squat Jumps
Abs
Rest 60-120 secs
All done with no rest inbetween using max explosive reps…repeat as many circuits until you are totalled, haha.

This, assuming that you’re consistent the majority of the time.
If you’re the type that a week will turn into months, then do something, otherwise relax and enjoy the beach[/quote]
Agreed. From experience, those who panic if they have to stop training for a week are those who are not making progress. The tend to be stimulus addict who often end up doing too much of the wrong stuff.
When we filmed the IBB videos (first program had 25 sessions to film) I stopped training for 2 weeks because just coaching the guys through the training, planning the video and experimenting took too much energy for me to train effectively. Don’t panic if you don’t train for 7 days.
Heck, those that I’ve seen made the fastest gains in the gym are those who take periodic layoffs from strength training, but stay active.
