Bench Press Max Vs. Bodyweight

PR 525x1 @279 Last Spring
Currently 425x3 @257

I stopped lifting for a while cause of work but lately I’ve been making good gains while losing weight. So I hope that the trend continues a little longer until I can hit 500 again.

250lbs at 242.

Gold’s gym in Manassas.
I used to workout at the Gold’s in Chantilly until I got kicked out for doing deads.

Really want a double BW raw at around 210-215 with lower BF

495 double on friday@ 280. Kind of sucks cause it was supposed to be a triple. Keep up the good work guys.

82.5 (prob 85)kg @ 75-76 kg @ 15 years.

100kg at my weight is enough to place in top five in sweden for juniors, might wanna aim for that :slight_smile:

My friend Cody is 15 and a freshman in high school. He weighs 230 and benches 310. He is the second strongest guy at school.

I am benching 280 and weight 145. 10 more pounds til I can do double my body weight. Anyone know about what % of people can do that? I’m just curious

I know lots of people that can bench 290.

Naw, I’m kidding. I haven’t actually ever met anyone that could get a 2xbw bp, I’ve known a lot that were close though. Good luck with that last 10 pounds.

Close grip 374lbs at 198lbs…spotted by Charles Poliquin…so it was a good one (4-0-1)

I would have to say that height and arm length are the 2 big factors here. I am 6’ even 185lbs with long arms and put up 280 for 3 reps, but a guy thats 5’8" and 185 that puts up the same weight is much less impressive to me. If I saw a 185lb man 6’4" put up 280…Now that would be very impressive.
