Bench Press Max Vs. Bodyweight

310 at 185 lbs

definatly gonna hit 315 or 320 next time i decide to test my max

recently 375lbs at 212 bw raw. new shirted to come round end of march.

That would put him in very select company, less than twenty guys have benched 550 or more at 242 without a bench shirt.

Raw PR was 420x5 @270lbs. bodyweight.

First rep was a competition pause. The others were strict touch-and-go.

should long armed ppl bench to half or hit the chest?

if i go down all the way down to chest i get most of the lift from shoulder. adn no chest.

375 @ 245 raw and pushing 40 years.

If you don’t touch your chest, its not a bench press.

Long arms may not be the best levers for benching, but too many people use it as an excuse for a shitty bench.

You can’t shorten your arms, but you can improve your technique, get bigger and thicker which shortens ROM, and get stronger.

110kgs @ 74kgs

Can only do 3 reps though.

The April comp will be sanctioned by Northern Va. Raw and then hit some APA.

340x2 raw touch and go at 168 bodyweight. Have not maxed in awhile though this is close.

105Kg @ 83Kg

90kg x 12reps; 11reps; 6reps, minutes rest inbetween each set :P.

295 w/ a pause, 300 touch and go @ 230ish. Getting better, though!

270 at 158.

getting thick is my prob. the bench doesnt hit chest. so should i stop benching until my lagging parts catch up???
