Bench Help

buffalo - i’ve been getting Graston Technique done on my shoulder and it completely cleared up the soft tissue component in about 3 treatments. this technique is similar in theory to ART but uses stainless steel instruments as opposed to the practitioner’s hands.

due to the injury nagging for so long i do have alot of scapular instability from weakness of the surrounding muscles. my recruitment pattern is all jacked up on my throwing arm, but it’s working out and getting better allbeit slowly.

WEC - sticking point i spoke of was off the chest raw. i bench in a fury f6 and it’s a good shirt, but i have to spend more time in it to learn. as i’m not competing again till september or even december i haven’t been in the shirt in a while.

i’m gonna take the advice of getting a loose training shirt.

one - no offense taken. i compete in state level meets as yet, so it’s gonna take a while till i get to the level of folks goin to big meets like the seniors or something. i’m there to out do my previous lifts and root for everyone else trying to do the same.

Inzer blast, cut the back, insert a piece of stretch material if needed to maintain in place. Gives little pop, but supports the shoulders and easy enough to get on yourself…

with the closed back, it is possible to get on yourself, but getting it back off is a different story

Cool, I’ve heard a little about Graston technique - my chiropractor was starting to learn it a little while ago. It was kinda funny to think of a big serving spoon as a rehabilitative instrument. I’m glad to hear it works, though. Might give it a try if the need ever arises.

Good luck on continued improvement of your scap retractors - I bet once that gets resolved you’ll be benching almost pain free.

Best of luck
