You get out of lifting what you put in. If you think that getting big and strong as a m*therfucker isn’t worth the ~$20 the e-book costs, fine. If you think a simple reread is too much effort for you, that’s fine too, no skin off my nose, I’m just curious how you think you’re going to achieve anything if this kind of simple task is too much for you.

Yeah I figured. I bought the EBook. That a food scale are my 2 best fitness related purchases.

I agree 100%, 5/3/1 is exactly the kind of program I needed. I wouldn’t be surprised if I run 5/3/1 with very few breaks for the rest of my lifting life. And the food scales are unfortunately a must for January.

You talk with me like i don’t even lift. Today’s deadlift/squat workout was brutal, but i did every single rep. What’s wrong with trying to get my programming perfect?

Good job!
Nothing wrong with trying to get your programming perfect. To simplify for you just readjust your TM every cycle and base your BBB lifts off that. Now that your programming is perfect im sure your gains will sky rocket

What I would do over the course of the BBB challenge is:

  • take a jar,
  • write “money I owe Jim” on it and
  • throw a lousy buck or two into it each week

After the challenge is over, take the money and buy the book as a minimum.

This will be a good strategy for you. Your sense of entitlement will hurt you in this game. This is a good first step to sorting it.

Cue: two threads worth of questions about the size of the jar, how to know if the money is indeed “lousy”, whether to use coins or paper money, if paper whether to fold it or not, just how far to throw the money, what constitutes “throwing”, is a “week” an actual 7 day week or a training week so that you wouldn’t throw any money in the jar until you’d done all four of the major lifts, is $1.50 the optimum amount of money and would that - ipso facto - make coins the preferred currency…

Do all of you apply this routine for every lift or just one/few of them?

Have you payed Jim for the book you stole?

This whole thread is absurd lol

I’m layed up for the next few months and enjoying the entertainment that this thread offers. Thank you to everyone that have supported the books and embraced the program and the bigger picture of the program. Just remember that at the end of the day, it does not matter which program variation you choose. What does matter is that you give total commitment and work hard. That’s it. You keep working and you keep your head down. 99% of the time, good things happen. And when something bad happens, you brush yourself off and keep driving forward. It’s as simple as that. It’s not easy and the bumps often look like mountains - but as long as you keep putting one foot in front of the other, things will happen. You will scream and bleed and cry and laugh - but as long as you don’t ever feel sorry for yourself and pout like an entitled, spoiled brat, success will happen. Because that is the attitude and actions of a winner. And winners never lose the war - they lose battles, but never the war.

Last week my parents came into town and brought a big box of papers I wrote in junior high and high school. One paper I wrote, that wasn’t for school, was a list of axioms and ideas that I would turn to when I felt I got off track. There were 38 things I wrote and one of them reminded me to keep training and life as simple as possible. I wrote this as a sophomore in high school and it’s amazing to see how this has carried over in my life. Please understand that I do not pass myself as an expert of life or a Jedi like some fitness gurus have tried - but I do believe that training and life can go hand in hand - as long as you are open to embracing the values and principles that co-exist between the two.

If I had to pick a “Post of the Week” - you get it. My wife and I laughed very hard at this

And somehow Id twist the “Post of the Week” system and grant you an award. If I had an incontinence problem, you’d get a soggy Poise Pad Award from me. Good times.

You are absurd.

Jim, thanks for the answer. To those who don’t understand. I DO lift and give 100% effort. This challenge is brutal, and it just started. I want to get my programming closer to perfection, even if it’s just 0,1% of advantage. Not like i’m trying to figure out small details about 5/3/1 and don’t put the work in.

Alright. Stop brown nosing for Jim and posting about that stupid torrent. I wonder if you bought the book yourself.

Next time try posting outside of the quote, stupid.

Two books, and I don’t have to ask obtuse questions.

You stole a $9.99 book, you mama’s boy.

This is my favourite thread

You don’t understand what stealing is. And the fact that you don’t ask questions doesn’t make you any smarter
