So, in line with your carbs comment… this last week when I’ve been making some changes to my diet, I increased my carbs quite a bit with oats in my shake. And don’t seem to be getting enough overall calories yet.
I’m apparently losing weight, and getting fat, all at the same time. It’s not just in my head.
But the bizarre part is that everyone’s all anti-GOMAD because of all the “bad” carbs, and I was pretty much at my leanest when I was doing that. So I dunno.
It’s going to take some time to figure this stuff out. I may have just added too many carbs too soon. I don’t really like thinking about it this much, but that’s probably what I did.
I feel like I’m getting leaner as I slowly add carbs in lol
This is what happens to me. I dont know if its just cause of my training style, cause I go balls out on all of my assistance or whatever but it seems the more carbs and food in general I add lately I just get leaner even if my bodyweight isn’t moving
Now that I think about it, it’s probably more a factor of decreasing volume and frequency than anything else for me… not the diet. GOMAD worked for me but I was also doing 20 rep squats at that time, so yeah.
Yeeeee for carbs
Side note: When I watch youtube vids I hear guys sayin that they’re eating 2000 cals but they weigh 150-160ish…i’m slowly adding 5 carbs a day so still in the 1800 range and I weigh 193-195 what the fuck
Some guys have hugggge discrepancies in the calories required for losing, maintaining, and gaining. For me, I know I will eventually always have to dip under 2300 kcal to get super lean. But I often times have to be above 3700 to gain anything. Sloh on here has an issue that’s very similar.
Kind of forgot my point, but don’t get stressed. Right now you’re eating 1800 @ 195, but you maybe eating 3200 @ 200 here soon. Don’t get caught up in how much others eat, or even how much you used to/currently eat. Just build back up and you’ll be fine.
