I feel like a 17 year old girl the week before prom trying to fit in her dress

I think I’ve hit a “aaa ha!” moment with my diet and it sounds stupididly simple but feel like I do the best when I save a lot of my macros for at night. I feel fine with only a little food through out the day but when the game is on and I’m sitting on the couch, I want to eat and I want to go to bed full lol long term goal for this reverse diet is to get my metabolic capacity as high as possible. Would LOVE to get my macros up to 210 protein 70 fat and 230 carb while still being 195-197.

Week 11 Day 5

Wanted to do deads but loaded up 135 and it felt like 315. Even after long bouts of foam rolling and stretching my quads and hamstrings were still sore to the touch and extremely tight. Left side of my lower back is still tender. Basically I’m beat up…whatever I’ll get over it.

Reverse grip chins 2 min
BWx5
10 lbs x 4
20x 3
25x2
35x1
45 lbs x8, rest 60 seconds, then 5 more

DB row 2 min
3x15 with 80’s

Then had a solid shooting workout lasting an hour.

Week 12 day 1
Incline 2 min thumbs length from smooth…wanted to go pinkies on rings but shoulder rolled out yesterday
5x135
4x150 did 5 on accident
3x165
2x180
1x195
175x 10with wraps
Rest 60 seconds
175x 5 with wraps

DB bench 2 min
50x10 contraction focus
60x10
60x10
60x10 right pec sore and right tri no pump

Behind the neck press 2min
Barx8
65x8
85x8
85x8
Was only supposed to be 2 working sets but couldn’t find a good weight, really like this movement

Seated DB press
40x10x4

Dips x fail
Overhead plate extension
45, 35,35 x fail
3 rounds
I wanted to do overhead carries but my shoulder wasn’t feeling it

So, in line with your carbs comment… this last week when I’ve been making some changes to my diet, I increased my carbs quite a bit with oats in my shake. And don’t seem to be getting enough overall calories yet.

I’m apparently losing weight, and getting fat, all at the same time. It’s not just in my head.

But the bizarre part is that everyone’s all anti-GOMAD because of all the “bad” carbs, and I was pretty much at my leanest when I was doing that. So I dunno.

It’s going to take some time to figure this stuff out. I may have just added too many carbs too soon. I don’t really like thinking about it this much, but that’s probably what I did.

I feel like I’m getting leaner as I slowly add carbs in lol

I love these things too. I haven’t taken them out of my training since I started them last year.

This is what happens to me. I dont know if its just cause of my training style, cause I go balls out on all of my assistance or whatever but it seems the more carbs and food in general I add lately I just get leaner even if my bodyweight isn’t moving

Now that I think about it, it’s probably more a factor of decreasing volume and frequency than anything else for me… not the diet. GOMAD worked for me but I was also doing 20 rep squats at that time, so yeah.

They catch a bad rap and personally I like them more than OHP and I have sketchy shoulders

Side note: When I watch youtube vids I hear guys sayin that they’re eating 2000 cals but they weigh 150-160ish…i’m slowly adding 5 carbs a day so still in the 1800 range and I weigh 193-195 what the fuck
