Is anyone near baltimore that can tell me of a decent gym to go lift at? I’m going to be at a conference for 5 days in downtown baltimore and my hotel doesn’t have a decent gym in it. I’m staying in the Inner Harbor, across from the Convention Center. If anyone has any good local places let me know. I might be able to get a ride, but i might have to take a taxi or bus too. (walking is ok, if it’s not TOO far)

I’ll tell where not to workout. Merritt Athletic club on Securty Blvd. Unless you want to work out with me in a “fitness center!”
There’s a World Gym in Serverna Park that is really harcore - Kevin Levrone works out there. That’s probally not that close to Inner Harbor, though.
Jeff Rage, I work out in a “fitness center” now! LOL. i won’t say the name for fear of the word getting out! hahahaha (no, it’s not golds or worlds or anything like that, probably even worse!) Althought they have no clue about what i’m doing, they haven’t said anything to me.

What’s my “gym” like?
There’a a free weight room (where you’ll find me), a room filled with machines, and lots of cardio equipment everywhere. The machine room has some Nautalus brand equipment that looks at least 20 years old! There are TV’s everywhere - 4 in the free weight room. There’s raquetball there too, if you’re into that.
There aren’t many people in the gym that look like they know what they are doing. I’ve seen a handful of people squat and only one other person deadlift.
It’s not that bad. There’s almost never a wait for the squat rack! I guess just miss the hardcore atmosphere of a real gym.

sorry guys, i was down last weekend. I went to the golds, it was actually really nice. I mean, it was clean and well taken care of. the free weight area was TINY but functional with two squat racks, which is all i really needed. at $15 a day, it sucked, but i got a good workout in. sunday’s are incredibly quiet in the gym so i had no issues. it was within walking distance of my hotel and the conference center, so that was nice. thanks for everyone’s help!!
