Does anyone experience lower back pain during ab-wheel roll-outs?
I just started doing them, and I do feel pressure, but not pain.
What kinda pain you feelin?
I guess pressure would be more accurate, but not a pleasant pressure. I feel almost as if I’m doing a lower-back workout as well as an ab workout. Someone on the other thread recommended reducing your ROM and looking downward at the floor instead of forward.
Sounds like a weak core to me. I’d say start with stability ball roll outs and work up to the ab wheel.

You can also do them on your knees or use a limited range of motion until you strengthen your lower back and abs.
Does it feel like it’s in the spine or muscles?
If you’re rolling out and you don’t engage the core then your hips will most likely sag, thus “butting” your lumbar vertebrae together.
How long can you do a “plank” for?
If your back isn’t straight as you roll you end up with a bent lumbar spine. If you your hips drop the farther you extend, your core isn’t strong enough to keep you straight.
