Recent interview on local Vegas news.
I thought that he spoke pretty well. Thats the first time I’ve heard in (or any bodybuilder I think) interviewed by a non-weightlifting media source. I thought he did a good job for himself on the show. The guy interviewing also seemed genuinely interested which was nice. “we got tickets to the gun show” haha
He is un-engaging. He is fairly monotone with very little facial expressions. It isn’t so much what you say in the public eye but how you get that point across. The average person watching that has no clue what his specific body fat percentage even means. They are looking at him to see if he looks approachable or if he is upholding the same “psychopath” label everyone with muscles is being boxed as lately.
You just dislike Jay which is fine, but I think you are one of the few who found that interview dull and un-engaging, I thought it was great.

This is why we need another Arnold…

Who cares about making BB’ing mainstream. It’s more a matter of fixing public perception.

My opinion of his interview stands and doesn’t have anything to do with liking him. He rarely smiles…which on camera during an interview is simply bad tactics unless purposely trying to make things appear very serious. Are you saying he ISN’T monotone? Really?

Seriously? To “normal” people Jay will sound like a down to earth man that can explain is point clearly AND consisely.

Kai, ur idol, will sound like a lunatic.

Btw, how is Kai’s life so different from Jay’s? What’s he doing more than eat eat train eat sleep eat eat train?
Genius, that is why I said DAVID HENRY would be a better representative if you are going to try to elevate one above the others. I even explained why…yet you somehow missed this?

Have to say, I thought that interview was awesome. The interviewer had a great attitude.

I think a guy like Kevin Levrone would’ve been good. I’ve always liked his interviews. He just comes off as a cool, intelligent, social-able guy. Cutler’s a little too cold and serious, while Kai is a little too out there just based on my own personal opinion.

LMAO that interview was funny.

I don’t see the flaws that both sides are pointing out about the other.

Both Jay and Kai are crazy huge, crazy dedicated and well, just plain crazy.

Someone mentioned that Kai is eccentric, being a bodybuilder makes all of these guys eccentric by default. So Kai is a bit more than the others, big deal.

As for who is gonna sell more tubs of protein to the Guidos, I think the answer is none of them. They’re too ignorant to actually know who these guys are and what competitions they have or have not won, let alone which protein they prefer(endorse).

David Henry has nothing to do with this.

You degrade Jay for his lifestyle, his hair, his attitude in an interview (interview in which everyone except you seem to think he handled himself well) and than finally his structure (but that isnt the base of your argumentation).

On the other hand, you put Kai Greene on a pedestal.

You are so biased and you dont even realise it.

You hate on Jay for his lifestyle, why not hate on Kai for his lifestyle?

Simple question that wont be answered, I guess.

Oh btw, finding Kai’s grapefruit fucking take about 25secs with a google search. I dont want that guy to be the representative for that sport. I’d much rather have a pretty boy, yes.

Why would I care about his “lifestyle”? The only reason I mentioned Jay’s lifestyle was because people were acting like the general public will see jay any different than they see Kai. To them, it is all the same. Guys in posing trunks who have roid rage. I wouldn’t be surprised if his exotic dancing didn’t go completely unnoticed by most simply because they see all of this shit as being strange.

YOU are the one who brought up his hair style originally.

You also seem to be the only one making this an issue strictly between Kai and Jay. I do believe there are many other people competing.

I hope Jay’s boxy frame doesn’t win another Olympia. I could care less what his hairstyle is that night and am not talking about Kai in comparison.

Ehh, I’m talking SUPERSTAR. Someone that transcends from “underground athlete” to social icon.

Having MMA guys be the statesmen for “physically developed” really isn’t getting the job done it making it less villainous to be built.

Agreed…and it will take someone who can project a personality through the tv screen…and regardless of how “informative” some may have thought that vid was, his personality is null and void when it comes to issues like that. Jay seems extremely serious and lacking in a sense of humor. he cracked no jokes, rarely smiled on camera and didn’t draw you in…yet when I write that he is “un-engaging” because of this, people act like I missed his extremely colorful side and his boisterous personality…

JAY CUTLER OBLIGATORY LOVE POST:

 1. I wish I had Jay’s “boxy” Frame.

 2. Jay’s brohawk is 10x FT fuckin W

 3. Jay doesn’t sex grapefruits, but grapefruits TRY to sex him

It would be silly for you to think that as truth.

LOL

Just because someone doesn’t lift the same way as you or I, because they don’t do tha squatzerz, doesn’t mean they aren’t a large market share. We are talking about people who are more dedicated to lifting then some people on this site here. They buy sups.

People love to shit on “bros” but fail to see the truth because they choose to be “superior” in mind, yet are inferior in build. (I’m not saying you JD, just in general.)

WOW…that chick pretty much almost came when she saw Jay up close…ha! Most women don’t like that much muscle tho…they think its nasty! lol

If they wont see Jay and Kai differently, why do you feel, or at least make it sound that way, that Kai would be a better ambassador than Jay for the sport? (Oh please dont point out David Henry.)

I am not making an issue of Jay vs Kai. I am making an issue of what you say about Jay vs what you say about Kai. The way you act/talk about these 2 are so full of contradictions its not even fun

As when it comes to Jay, being monotone, have a brohawk, eating eating sleeping training and being a pretty boy is negative.

But when it comes to Kai, being a lunatic is a +, having a bun on his head is cool, eating eating sleeping training is ok and he’s following his dream, and fucking a grapefruit shouldnt be talked about cause it has nothing to do with his physique.

This is bullshit.

Women like money, chocolate, shitty TV and cock once in awhile.

How much muscle is attached the the above is an after thought.

I’m only interested in what their ratings looked like during that.
