My goals for 2008 finish in the top 50 of The Arnold Pump and Run finishing the 5K in less than 24 minutes and benching my body weight > 20 times, compete in my first sprint triathalon, and powerlifting competitions. I would like to touch the rim for the first time in almost 9 years.

See- why can’t we have a nontested weightlifiting fed? The IWF testing shit is fine for Olympic hopefuls. But what about the rest of us? If I decide to do a cycle, I can’t compete (or I have to cheat). If a guy is taking a lousy 2cc’s every other week so he can still feel like he’s 25 years old, he just about needs a papal dispensation to compete. If a girl takes some weak amphetamine for ADD and forgets to file a bunch forms for a waiver, she’s out. Jesus- why can’t we just lift some damn weights and not worry about everybody’s chemistry?

well, if he is competitive enough for the Worlds, then drug testing is a damned good thing because that IS the Olympics for most people.
now, I agree for people who just want to compete, but if someone is at the level where they can make/attempt national/world records, then I agree with drug testing.
that being said, most people at the international level are on something. Jsut because of the IWF’s drug testing, doesn’t mean people aren’t using.
Guys, the last thing I wanted was to start up another debate about athletes and drugs. I’m just an old guy on low dose HRT who MIGHT be able to get strong enough to compete in Master’s OL, and I’ll either pass their tests with what I’m on, or get off of it and see how I do. No cheating for me.
Kiplement, I live in Costa Rica, the second most active area for ho's next to your area. They go for 50-100 bucks for an "encounter." Now, I'm married, so I'm just passing this along for public information, but I like the $50 bet. I like competing, and this may be the only kind of competing I'll get to do if I can't lift in IWF Masters.
I tend to stir up trouble when I'm home nursing a minor back injury and can't lift. lol Doc

DL 585x1, 495x5 (I hate repping out DL’s)
Squat 495x1, 405x10
Bench 405x1 (so I can win that tub of Surge from the fuckers in that 315-405 thread.) And 315x10.
OH Press 315x5, 275x10 (Don’t have access to bumper plates and a platform, so I don’t really try maxes under 5 reps)
All raw, maybe with a belt if I ever get around to buying one. And I’m just using regular 45 lb plates, hence the weird numbers.
Gain 30 more lbs (When I break 300 I will have more than doubled my starting bodyweight.)
For the past few years I’ve just been doing the general “just get big and strong” thing, so in 2008 I’d like to see if I want to become more focused in a strength sport or bodybuilding.

I have no problem with a drug tested fed or tested class within a fed. But it would be pretty cool for there to be some choices for those that want to opt out of this system.

I’d like to shed a little bit of fat and stay at or a bit lower than where I’m at right now. Long term my goals are in terms of BW so I don’t want to gain much at the moment.
