Just curious what goals (if any) people have for the new year.
Mine are:
I hate when it double posts.
Mine are
Bench 700
Pull 700
Squat something respectable in a meet
Be less fat
Get a job
Have my MP start with the #2, my bench with the #3 and my Dead with the #4…oh and my beloved squats to start with a #3…go bald, get heavier and be called UGLY…this pretty boy weakling thing is tiring!
The USAPL has only had a raw devision for a few years, leaving some of the Washington State M1 (100k/220lbs.) records within reach. My lifting goal is to break one or more of them.
Squat: 468
Bench: 297
Dead: 512
Total: 1267
Other goals:
Get less fat and in better condition.
Find gainful employment or, better yet, become gainfully self employed.
Make myself a little better each week.
Mine are fairly simple…
I think the hardest will be the bench and the easiest will be the deads. But I have been wrong before
Bench 315
Squat 375
Deadlift 500
All at a sub 190 bodyweight.
Also compete in first meet.
Compete in the Warrior Dash in Georgia.
Increase mobility…
Hit and maintain sub-200# BW
MP 155# (+20)
Bench 230# (+20)
Squat 330# (+40)
Dead 415# (+40)
compete at least once in 2010 and bump my total:
Squat: 122.5kg (269.5lbs) → 140kg (308#)
Bench: 80kg (176lbs) → 95kg (209#)
Dead: 170kg (374lbs) → 185kg (407#)
total: 372.5kg (819.5lbs) → 420kg (924lbs)
Goals for 12/31/10
Military: 225
Dead: 450
Bench: 325
Squat: 450
I posted this in my log.
I’m adding a 4th goal:
4. increase flexiblity
1 Get Taller
2 get as strong as PMPM
ok I cant do the first but probably the 2nd.
1 Pull 500
2 squat 450
3 front squat 300
4 stay mostly injury free
5 do much more conditioning
I think 4 is some of the key to 1 and 2
Simple.
Pull my head out of my ass. It would be a start.
i really hate vocalizing my goals but if i had to, this is what i would come up with…
not injury myself.
put up a respectable total
pull over 700 rawdog
set a meet squat PR.
do pullups with a 100lb plate for reps
don’t get any fatter.
stay as dead sexy as i already am.
Get out of bed with an exhausted Shakira, walk out on the veranda of the Royal Villa at Grand Resort Lagonissi
Athens, Greece, while smoking a Behike cigar and sipping Macallan’s 1926. Order a 24oz steak of kobe beef smootered in Matsutake mushrooms. Finish the meal, drive my Bugatti Veyron to the beach, swim out to my Gentry Eagle yacht and cruise out to Crete for a breakfast of fruit and goat cheese while toasting the rising sun over the Karpathion Sea with a glass of ouzo.

This one belongs in the T-Nation hall of fame.
Hmmm…
Ride to coast, tool around, ride back, take the time off to do it.
MP => .5 x bw
Squat => 2 x bw
Dead => 2 x bw
Bench => 1.5 x bw
Something like that…

I have gone on record that you are a Baaadass (is there a punny bun in there somewhere?), BUT, I’m going to respectfully suggest that it would be the other way around!

Ouzo just makes you crazy and mean. Stick with the Scotch. I’m down with the rest.

Sime as LS except:
Bench 450 all my lifts RAW with just a single ply knee sleeve as outlined by the USAPL feds.
