Took me like 12 years personally, I was stuck at 185 for almost a decade

Oh wow! That certainly makes me feel better about my poverty bench. There is still hope! Just seven years to go

How big are you?
How much can you bench press and overhead press now?

What’s your plan to get that incline up?
Are you willing to gain some body weight?

Yeah so do that. Train, eat and sleep until you do it. It might take 7 months or it could take 10 years who knows

Guess ill have to find out the hard way

Word of advice …focus on getting 140 first than 145 and so on.
May I ask how long you have been lifting? Just started? Or been at it for while?

Are you 165 or 180? 165 to 200 is different then 180 to 200? Why setting this arbitrary number 225 and why in 7 months?

that doesnt bode well

Yeah, it should be noted that I wasn’t lifting consistently during this time period. It also took me around the same time to get to 3 bench squat and deadift from 275.

IYeah man! After I was stuck at 185, I was stuck at 205 for 2 years, then stuck at 215 for a little, then jumped up to 235 in winter 2016.

If it makes you feel better, it’s been an upward trend since. Hit 260 in April 2017, 275 in December 2017, and recently 285. Hoping for 300 or 315 in December.

Oops I didn’t realize this thread was about incline. Thought it was about flat bench

I personally think people can lift more than they think. They get themselves in a mind fuck. I’ve seen people lift more when they didn’t know what was on the bar. I’m not talking about trying to hurt someone but if they say “I can’t lift xxx” and add a couple of dimes to it and they do it, it’s shows them they had predetermined to fail.

Its ok,value your opinion

Advice how to not get in mind fuck?
